NFL Gameday LIVE betting

We'll be here all afternoon providing you the latest NFL injury updates, big performances, bad performances and what it means for your bets…

4:46 pm – Favorite do ok in early action – The favorites at least finished over .500 ATS in the early games with a 7-3 ATS mark. If wasn’t a good result though if you bet on the Saints, Patriots, Jaguars though.

4:00 pm – Colts should cover – Indy’s back on top 28-16 and should move to 13-0 and cover the 6.5-point versus Denver.

3:46 pm – Broncos surging back – Denver has cut into the colts lead 21-16, but the real story is Brandon Marshall who has 20 receptions for 193 yards and two touchdowns. The Colts need a at least a field goal to cover the 6.5-point spread.

3:30 pm – Sunday routs – There are two big routs on the scoreboard today. The Ravens are pummeling Detroit 41-3 as a 14-point favorite and Houston’s slamming Seattle 34-7 as a 7-point favorite. Guess who took both Detroit and Seattle ATS?

3:25 pm- Packers retake lead – Green Bay is back on top of Chicago after a Ryan Grant TD run and a 2pt conversion. Green Bay leads 21-14 and if they can hold on they’ll cover as a 4-point chalk.

3:15 pm – Pats take over lead – New England has grabbed their first lead of the day after a Tom Brady TD toss put New England up 14-7. Still not enough to cover 12.5 points.

3:13 pm – Falcons storming back – Atlanta is solving the Saints right now after Jason Snelling TD run ties the game 23-23. With 14 unanswered points the Falcons have comeback from a 23-9 deficit. Keep a close eye on this one because an upset could be brewing.

3:06 pm – Vince Young is active – In late game news, Vince Young will start for the Titans today against St. Louis. Young was considered questionable after missing Friday’s practice, but his bad knee won’t keep him out today.

2:55 pm – Falcons storm back – Scratch the Saints cover for now anyway. Atlanta immediately struck back with a 50-yard TD pass on the next series to cu the lead to 23-16.

2:53 pm – Bears not hibernating – The Bears have also found life in the second half and have taken a 14-13 lead over Green Bay. The Packers are only down one point, so they could still easily cover the 4-point spread.

2:47 pm – Saints come out firing – New Orleans offense has quickly found the end in the third quarter to take a 23-9. That’s important to bettors because the Saints are now covering the 10-point spread.

2:35 pm – Halftime heroes – The favorites are actually looking pretty good at halftime today. With seven of the favorites currently covering could the underdogs be losing their bite?

New Orleans is up 16-9 as a 10-point favorite
Jacksonville is down 14-7 as a 2-point favorite
Houston is up 24-7 as a 7-point favorite
Buffalo is up 10-3 as a 2.5-point favorite
Indianapolis is up 21-7 as a 6.5-point favorite
New England tied 7-7 as a 12.5-point favorite
NY Jets up 19-0 as a 3.5-point favorite
Minnesota is up 16-7 as a 6-point favorite
Baltimore is up 20-3 as a 14-point favorite

2:22 pm – Patriots finally on the board – Kevin Faulk rushed in for six and the Patriots are finally on the board with a minute to go in the half. If this keeps up in the second half the Pats won’t cover as a 12.5-point favorite.

2:12 pm – Jets soaring – The Jets are cruising on both sides of the ball right now with a 16-0 lead over Tampa Bay. Kellen Clemens hasn’t been a problem in place of injured Mark Sanchez because Thomas Jones has rushed for 77 yards on 12 carries. The New York defense has been stifling, holding the Bucs to 15 total yards and zero first downs. This one could be already over.

2:05 pm – Vikings in control – Minnesota leads Cincinnati 10-0 after a Brett Favre touchdown, but it’s the Bengals who are beating themselves right now with a ton of penalties. Cincy needs to clean it up to get back in this one.

1:55 pm – Ravens in flight – The big passes keep coming today, as Joe Flacco hit Derrick Mason on a 62-yard TD pass. Baltimore’s up 10-0, but they’re a 14-point favorite versus Detroit.

1:49 pm – Texans destroying Seahawks – I think I can kiss the money I bet on Seattle good bye. Matt Schaub just connected with Andre Johnson on another TD and Houston leads 24-0. This looks like an easy cover as a 7-point favorite.

1:46 pm – Saints find the end zone – After a slow start against Atlanta the Saints grab their first lead of the day, 10-6 after a Drew Bress TD pass. The Saints still have a ways to go to cover 10-points versus what is a banged up Falcons squad.

1:36 pm – Patriots trailing – After a Tom Brady interception Matt Moore hit Steve Smith on a 64-yard TD pass and the Panthers are up 7-0 early. Brady’s done nothing so far and he needs to improve or the Pats are in trouble as a 13-point chalk.

1:31 pm – Colts keep coming – Maybe taking the Broncos as a 7-point underdog was a mistake. Indianapolis is up 14-0 on another Peyton Manning touchdown toss and the Broncos haven’t even recorded a first down yet.

1:17 pm – Colts get to Broncos early – Peyton Manning has the Colts on their way to 13-0 with an early 7-0 lead over Denver. Indy still needs another score to cover the 7-point spread though.

1:08 pm – Grant shreds Bears defense – The Packers have an early lead on a huge 6-yard touchdown run from Ryan Grant. This is what the Bears once proud defense has come to.

1:04 pm – Houston on the board quickly – It only took 16 seconds for the Texans to get into the end zone. Matt Schaub hit Andre Johnson on a 64-yard TD pass and Houston leads 7-0 as a 7-point favorite at Bovada

1:00 pm - Kickoff - Good Luck with your picks!

Denver +7
Cincinnati +7
NY Jets -4
Buffalo -2
Green Bay -5
New Orleans -10.5
Detroit +14
Jacksonville -3
Carolina +13
Seattle +7

12:21 pm – Stafford is OUT – Not surprisingly Matt Stafford is inactive for the Lions today. Daunte Culpepper gets the start for Detroit.

12:04 pm – Ravens missing Reed and Clayton – The slumping Ravens will be without Ed Reed and Mark Clayton today as they try to keep their slim playoff hopes alive. At least the Ravens only have to deal with the Lions as a 14-point favorite at Bovada

12:00 pm – Trend setting – With an hour to go until kickoff here are a few trends that could help you pick some winners in the early games.

Buffalo is 7-2 ATS in their last nine road games
Kansas City is 5-14 ATS in their last 19 home games
Denver is 8-4 ATS in their last 12 games
Baltimore is 1-5 ATS in their last six games vs. Detroit
Green Bay is 8-2 ATS in their last 10 games at Chicago
Atlanta is 1-6 SU in their last 7 games vs. New Orleans
Seattle is 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games on the road
Jacksonville is 3-11 ATS in their last 14 home games
Minnesota is 3-5-1 ATS in their last 9 homes games
NY Jets are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games vs. Tampa Bay
Tampa Bay is 1-8 ATS in their last 9 games at home

11:51 am – Ryan and Turner both inactive – As expected Matt Ryan and Michael Turner are both inactive for Atlanta. Atlanta is a 10-point underdog at home versus the Saints and could be crushed with the offense so shorthanded.

11:47 am – Jags get a lucky break – Despite reports that he was out today, Mike Sims-Walker will suit up for the Jaguars today. It seems to be a weekly occurrence that at least one player expected to miss ends up playing. This week it’s Sims-Walker, although he won’t be 100%.

11:45 am – Jags defense banged up – The Jaguars aren’t just missing Mike Sims-Walker today. The Jacksonville defense is also shorthanded with DT John Henderson and CB Rashean Mathis both out. Jacksonville is looking like a poor pick as a 1.5-point favorite at Bovada

11:30 am – Hester out – After missing practice all week Devin Hester will sit today with a calf injury. The Bears are a 4.5-point underdog versus Green Bay at Bovada and missing one of his top receivers isn’t good news for Jay Cutler and his league-high interception totals.

11:25 am – Brady hurting, but will play – Tom Brady will brave injuries to his ribs, finger and shoulder today and get the start against Carolina. After their recent struggles the Patriots need to win now and can’t afford to let Brady sit and heal up. The Pats are a 13-point favorite at Bovada but may have a hard time covering with Brady banged up.

11:21 am – Harvin won’t go – Sources are reporting that Percy Harvin will not play today for Minnesota. Harvin was bothered by migraines all week and it looks like it cauht up with him and will force him to sit out. That’s not a good sign for a Vikings squad looking to bounce back against Cincinnati as a 6-point favorite.

11:18 am – Bell out for Saints – Despite the fact New Orleans said earlier in the week Mike Bell would play today that’s not going to happen. Bell is out with a knee injury which should mean a heavier load for Pierre Thomas and Reggie Bush.

11:13 am – Ryan and Turner both expected to miss – Both Matt Ryan and Michael Turner are expected to miss today’s game for Atlanta. That means Chris Redman will start at QB again, while Jerious Norwood and Jason Snelling with split the carries. The Falcons couldn’t score at all last week and that could be the case against New Orleans

11:10 am – Sims-Walker out – Reports out of Jacksonville are saying that Jags wideout Mike Sims-Walker will not play today due to a calf injury. The last time Sims-Walker missed a game in Week 5 the Jaguar offense tanked in a 41-0 loss so be careful with this one.

11:03 am – Injury watch – Here are the big names on out radar in the early games that you need to watching for on the active/inactive list…

Tom Brady (shoulder, finger, rib)
Devin Hester (calf)
Percy Harvin (illness)
