Can Brady and Belichick Go 16-0 Again?

Although the season is only three weeks old, the Patriots already stand out as the AFC’s best team. With a 3-0 record and a +49 point differential, they could be well on their way to another Super Bowl appearance.

Similar to the controversial 2007 Spygate season when the team went 16-0, the Patriots are playing under lots of scrutiny thanks to the never ending fallout from Deflategate. The Patriots have a history during the Brady-Belichick era of not letting off-field issues get in the way of on-field success, and the 2015 season might follow that trend after the team’s strong start.

After dismantling the Steelers, Bills, and Jaguars, the Patriots have a bye in Week 4. It can be difficult to judge after only three weeks, but looking ahead, their remaining schedule doesn’t exactly read as a list of league juggernauts. The remaining Patriots opponents combine for a 48.72 win percentage, and only three of their remaining 13 oponents were playoff teams last season.

The only significant challenge comes against Denver in a Week 12 road game. They hosted the Broncos last season and destroyed them 43-21. They also played in 2013, with the Patriots winning a close 34-31 home game.

With all this in mind, Bovada has set a prop for a 16-0 Patriots season at 20-1.

Is Another 50+ Point Game in New England's Future?

Also available after New England's 51-17 beatdown of the Jaguars in Week 3 is if the Patriots will score 50 or more points in a 2015 regualr season game again, which is set at 10-1.

The Patriots have averaged 39.66 points per game this season and had one 50+ point game in each of the past two seasons, along with two 50+ point games in the 2012 season.

The Patriots will next take the field in a Week 5 road game in Dallas.
