Tony Romo Dez Bryant Dallas Cowboys

Cowboys Total Wins & Tony Romo Props

This season could very well go down as a lost season for the Dallas Cowboys. The team entered the season with high expectations thanks to winning the NFC East last season and had it not been for a questionable no-catch ruling against Green Bay in the playoffs, they would have been in the NFC Championship Game. Any aspirations of a deep playoff run this season were quickly dashed thanks to a rash of injuries that affected key players on both sides of the ball.

Cornerback Orlando Scandrick was the first domino to fall, and as the season got going he was followed by Dez Bryant and Tomo Romo. The injuries to the offense basically cut the Cowboys off at the knees, causing them to lose seven straight games.

Even in the dreadful NFC East, a playoff berth is out of reach for Dallas, but with Tony Romo set to return this week vs Miami, there’s hope in Dallas that the Cowboys can finish the year off on a good note. With their most important player back to lead the team, Sportsbook has set the OVER/UNDER at 3.5 wins for the Cowboys to finish out the season.

The Cowboys play seven more games this season, with three of those games coming against teams with losing records (The Dolphins this week, and the Redskins twice). They also have games against the undefeated Panthers, the underperforming Packers, and the middling Jets and Bills. With a healthy team last season the Cowboys won six of their last seven games.

Tony Romo Week 11 Props

With Tony Romo back in the fold to throw to Dez Bryant and company, the Cowboys should look like a completely different football team from the one that scored a measly six points in Tampa Bay last week. Sportsbook has set a number of OVER/UNDER props for Romo for this week’s game against Miami.

For touchdown passes thrown, the OVER/UNDER is 1.5. The Dolphins have allowed 17 passing touchdowns this season which works out to an average of 1.88 per game. In 15 games last season, Romo threw 34 touchdowns—an average of 2.26 per game.

For total yards, the OVER/UNDER is set at 265.5 yards. The Dolphins are allowing 255 passing yards per game, while Romo averaged 247 passing yards in his 15 games last season.

And what would a Romo props list be without a prop for interceptions thrown. The OVER/UNDER is 0.5 for the number of picks Romo tosses. The Dolphins are on the lower end of the league with only seven interceptions so far this season.

In two career starts vs the Dolphins in 2007 and 2011, Romo has four touchdown passes, two interceptions and 412 total yards passing.
