Broncos Look for the AFC South Sweep in Week 14

Despite being 8-4, the Denver Broncos sit behind Oakland and Kansas City in the AFC West and could be in danger of missing out on the playoffs if they don’t win out. Their Week 14 matchup offers the Broncos a good opportunity to keep up with their division competitors as they take on a Tennessee Titans team that has not faced an elite defense since Week 4.

SHARK BITES
  • The Titans are 1-9 SU in their last 10 games after a win.
  • The Broncos are 4-1 SU and 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games against the Titans.
  • The Broncos are 3-0 against the AFC South this season.

Tennessee is in the midst of a tight division race itself as the Titans are currently even with the Houston Texans and Indianapolis Colts at the top of the AFC South. Marcus Mariota has come out of his shell in a big way and has led his team to big wins over the Lions and Packers. He has, however, been very inconsistent and his Titans barely squeaked by an awful Bears team in Week 12.

Eight of the last nine Titans games have gone OVER as the combination of their developing offense and poor secondary has parlayed into the boys from the Music City being involved in plenty of shootouts. Their only game that’s gone UNDER since Week 3 was in their second meeting against the Colts which closed with a total of 54 – one of the highest totals we’ve seen this year.

Denver opened as a 1.5-point underdog and I’m having a little trouble processing that number. The Titans have struggled to put points on the board when they’ve felt any defensive pressure and the Broncos have the second-most efficient defense in the NFL, according to the DVOA rankings.

Denver should really win this game straight up so if you can get the Broncos as an underdog, you probably should and if Trevor Siemian suits up, you may want to consider a moneyline bet.

Sportsbook Odds & Computer Pick

Bettors who were going with the Tennessee Titans in this one found them listed as -1.5-point favorites on the betting line at Sportsbook. Fans betting on totals have seen that number set earlier in the week at 43.5 for Sunday.

A 31-19 result in favor of the Titans was the prediction by the Odds Shark handicapping pick engine earlier this week. Check out PredictionMachine.com for additional NFL picks as well. View the computer score prediction and who will win the pick on the moneyline for all upcoming NFL matchups here.
