Why It's Been A Good Year For NFL OVER Bettors

Betting the OVER has been a sound investment this NFL season. 

The OVER is coming in at a rate of 56.4 percent through Week 8 (66-51-3 O/U), which is enough to win you about $900 if you simply put $100 on the OVER every game.

Higher scoring is one of the key reasons for all of the OVERs. We’ve seen 46.05 points scored per game this season, which is the second-highest mark over the past five seasons. The average closing total is 45.64 points, which may seem like it leaves a small margin, but that’s all you need in this game to gain an edge sometimes. 

So how do you play things from here? 

Well, these OVER/UNDER records tend to even out over the course of a season. So my suggestion would be to look for the UNDER to start coming in more often during the second half of the NFL regular season.
