Fortunately for NFL fans the majority of Week 16 games involve playoff implications.
Unfortunately for Tennessee and Jacksonville fans Sunday's AFC South match-up between the Titans and Jaguars at that place they know call EverBank Field is not one of them.
Tennessee was still alive a few weeks ago in the AFC wild-card scrum, but three straight losses have removed the Titans from contention.
Jacksonville, meanwhile, had followed up its eight-game losing streak to start this season with four wins in five games. But the Jags just lost at home to Buffalo 27-20, allowing almost 200 yards rushing.
In the early betting Jacksonville, which beat Tennessee for its first victory of this season back in November, was getting six points as a home dog for Sunday's game at 5Dimes.
The Jaguars are 4-10 so far on the season, and 5-9 ATS vs. the number. The Titans, meanwhile, are 5-9 and 6-7-1 ATS. Over under bettors have seen Jacksonville go 9-5 and the Titans go 9-4-1 on the totals.
The OddsShark Power Rankings have the Jaguars at No. 31 and the Titans at No. 21 heading into this contest. Handicapping models project a 20-10 result in favor of the Titans.
The Titans were a 37-34 loser in their most recent outing at home against the Cardinals. They failed to cover the 2.5-point spread as underdogs, while the total score (71) made winners of OVER bettors. Jordan Todman went over the 100-yard mark (109) in his team's latest effort, but Buffalo still defeated Jacksonville by a score of 27-20.
