Luck, Colts Gain Momentum on NFL Moneyline

Less than a week after breaking the rookie record for passing yards in a game, Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck will look to guide his young club to yet more success on the NFL moneyline. Expect big things as they line up against a Jacksonville Jaguars team trapped in a forgettable 2012 season.

Although granted, the Thursday Night Football battles that pit top contenders against one another are typically the popular choices, the Luck versus lowly Jaguars matchup this week is appealing in its own right. Just how far, fans and NFL oddsmakers alike wonder, can this kid take them?

With three consecutive wins dating back to Week 7 and a 5-3 overall record, Indianapolis is encroaching on playoff territory. The NFL moneyline has started to react accordingly.  Despite the move in the right direction though, the Colts still have just 75/1 odds of winning the Super Bowl.

Now with four 300-plus-yard games under his belt, a 433-yard game and touchdowns in all but one of the eight games he’s suited up for this season, Luck will look to continue to build on what’s already turning out to be a remarkable first-year campaign. The Colts, don’t forget, finished with just two wins all year last season.

It’s not every day that a rookie shows the poise and production that Luck has this season (and this year we have two such rookies, thanks to RG3), but that’s no guarantee it will translate into success on the NFL futures. That’s where you come in.
