What Are The Odds The Rams Start Goff?

“I have not changed my mindset whatsoever with respect to Case and Jared.”

And with that quote from Jeff Fisher, you can hear the collective groans and eye rolls of every LA Rams fan on planet Earth. Fisher continues to stubbornly insist that Case Keenum is the right guy to be the Rams’ starting quarterback. The guy that ranks 27th in completion percentage, 35th in passer ratings and throws passes like this…

Yeah…he’s a legit starting quarterback.

However, first overall pick Jared Goff got first-team reps with the team in the practices following the Rams’ 17-10 loss to the Giants – their third in a row. Fisher simply plays that off by saying that Keenum deserved a day off after the London game.

It is basically impossible for Goff to be worse than Keenum has been. Plus, with a bye in Week 8, now feels like the perfect opportunity to call the youngster’s number.

We have already seen Dak Prescott and Carson Wentz take the reins and guide their teams to success despite being rookies. Hell, even Cody Kessler and Paxton Lynch have looked solid. But still, Goff has yet to take a single snap for the Rams this season.

This may go hand in hand with rumors swirling around that the front office forced Goff on Fisher in the draft. Fisher has always been stubborn to a fault throughout his coaching career and this may be yet another instance of Mr. 7-9 putting his ego ahead of team success.

Will Jeff Fisher Start Jared Goff In Week 9?
