Jonny Knows Picks: NFL Edition Week 7

Been a rough go for NFL this season. Good news for you is that I am consistent.

To borrow a line from the great Paul Newman movie Slapshot: Fade me. Fade me right f@#king now!

I went 3-6 last week and 2-3 with my Super Contest picks. Those are 4-16 last four weeks so you'd be in good shape by going the other way.

Here's to turning it around.

Pats at Steelers +7, 47

  • Landry Jones starting for Pittsburgh, who went 1-1 last year as a starter
  • Roethlisburger worth about a touchdown to the spread
  • Pats moved to clear cut 3-1 Super Bowl faves this week.
  • Early sharp money was on Pittsburgh here and some has this line up to 7.5

Pick: Pats -7

Bills at Dolphins +3, 43.5

  • This is a game you want to be careful of.
  • Miami was a new team last week with its starting O-line intact for the first time all season. Ryan Tannehill was hit only twice, a big difference vs. the first part of the season.
  • Bills rank second in the NFL in touchdowns scored this season.

Pick: OVER

Texans at Broncos -9, 40.5

  • Both have really good pass defenses and mediocre QBs. Think this game will be won or lost on the ground in a low scoring game.

Pick: UNDER

Vikings at Eagles +3, 40

  • Line opened Minnesota -1.5 and is moved up to -3.
  • Huge action on Minnesota as the only remaining undefeated team against the spread this season
  • Vikings coming off bye. Sam Bradford is playing well. Teams seem to have figured out Carson Wentz

Pick: Vikings -3

Ravens at Jets -2.5, 40.5

  • Could be looking at 2 new QBs for this game.
  • Flacco is questionable and this line spiked up to 2.5 from 1 yesterday so I don’t think he is going to play
  • I think we are going to see some turnovers from two inexperienced QBS that turn into points and I think this total might be too low.

Pick: OVER

Colts-Titans -3, 47.5

  • Mariota has thrown for three touchdowns in back to back games
  • Colts defense is just horrible. Ranks 30th in total defense and gives up 29 ppg
  • Indianapolis has worst-ranked offensive line in the NFL
  • Titans have never beaten Colts in the Luck era

Pick: Titans -3
