NFL Betting: Week 11 Injury Updates
Whether it can get any worse for the Green Bay Packers remains to be seen, but for the second week in a row they'll take the field with yet another quarterback.
Last week at home, against the Philadelphia Eagles, they sent in Seneca Wallace in place of starter Aaron Rodgers, who is out due to a broken collarbone.
This week Scott Tolzien will make his first NFL start in place of Wallace, who is now on injured reserve with a groin injury. Last week in his NFL debut, Tolzien completed 24 of 39 pass attempts for 280 yards, a touchdown, and two interceptions in a 27-13 loss to the Eagles. Down to their third-string quarterback, former Packers signal-caller Matt Flynn was signed as a backup to Tolzien.

Despite the Packers' deficiencies - they've also lost tight end Jermichael Finley - they still have the third-overall offense, including the fifth-best passing game in the NFL. Wide receiver Jordy Nelson leads the team with 49 receptions, while his 29 touchdowns dating back to 2011 rank third in the league.
In other injury news...
After leaving two straight games in the first quarter with hamstring and back injuries, then going into last week's game in Arizona with question marks concerning his health, Houston running back Arian Foster was placed on injured reserve this week and was scheduled to have back surgery in California on Thursday. It's just another glitch for a team that released safety Ed Reed earlier in the week and has been without coach Gary Kubiak, who has been recovering from a mini-stroke. Reed was signed by the Jets on Thursday, and Kubiak is slated to return to the sidelines for Sunday's game against Oakland.
Speaking of the Jets, on Sunday at Buffalo, New York will welcome back wide receiver Santonio Holmes, who missed five games with a hamstring injury. Earlier this season, back in September, Holmes produced a career-best 154 yards in a win over these same Bills. He was limited in practice Wednesday but reports out of the Jets' facility in Florham Park, NJ reveal the team is optimistic Holmes will be on the field against the Bills.
