This week most of the lines on the NFL betting board have stayed fairly put with only four games seeing line movements of a full point or more. That said, each of those four games are some of this week’s most interesting matchups.
Here’s a look at those games that have had line movements of one point or more.
Washington Redskins vs. Buffalo Bills in Toronto (from -4.0 to -6.0 at BetOnline)
One of the main reasons for the line move against Washington has to be the injury bug that hit them last week. Washington lost two of their most productive players on offense last week with running back Tim Hightower and wideout Santana Moss going down.
New England Patriots @ Pittsburgh Steelers (from +1.5 to +3.0 at BetOnline)
The top spot in the AFC is on the line this week in Pittsburgh, and bettors seem to believe that New England will get the job done on the road this week. New England is 7-3 SU and 8-2 ATS in their last 10 games against Pittsburgh, including a 3-0 SU and ATS record in their last three games in Pittsburgh.
Minnesota Vikings @ Carolina Panthers (from -4.0 to -3.0 at 5Dimes)
Christian Ponder played well enough in last week’s 33-27 loss to Green Bay to lead early bettors to believe that Minnesota was worth taking the points on this week. Carolina has only been favored twice this season, both times at home, and won and covered in both games.
New Orleans Saints @ St. Louis Rams (from +13.0 to +14.0 at )
What does it take to see a 14-point home underdog in the NFL? One 5-2 team coming off of a historic 62-7 win, and one 0-6 team (also 0-6 ATS) coming off of a 34-7 loss with an injured starting quarterback. Not many people seem to believe in “any given Sunday” when it comes to this hapless Rams team.
Other games that have seen slight line movements this week include Cleveland @ San Francisco (from -9.5 to -9.0) and San Diego @ Kansas City (from +3.5 to +4.0), both at TopBet.
