NFL Line Moves: Week 12

Only four NFL line movements this week have been by a full point, with most games just moving a half-point in one direction or the other. The only major exception is in the Chicago Bears’ trip to Oakland.

Here’s a look at all of the games with NFL line movements of a full point or more.

Chicago Bears @ Oakland Raiders (from +1.5 to -4.5 at Bovada)

Riding a five-game winning streak both SU and ATS, Chicago opened as a small favorite on the road in Oakland; but news of Jay Cutler’s broken thumb quickly prompted a ton of action on Oakland. The Raiders are also without their best offensive player in Darren McFadden, but Michael Bush has filled in admirably with four straight games of 96+ rushing yards.

Denver Broncos @ San Diego Chargers (from -7.0 to -6.0 at TopBet)

Bettors, experts, and fans can’t figure out the Tim Tebow phenomenon, but he and the Denver Broncos keep finding ways to win. Early bettors decided to take the points on Denver as they are 4-1 SU and ATS since Tebow has taken over and San Diego is 0-5 both SU and ATS in their last five games. The Chargers have fared well against Denver recently though at 8-2 SU and 7-2-1 ATS in their last 10 meetings.

Washington Redskins @ Seattle Seahawks (from -4.5 to -3.5 at 5Dimes)

Seattle has won two straight SU and covered three straight ATS, but bettors still jumped on Washington and the points early this week. Washington has lost six straight games, but picked up their first ATS win in six games in last week’s overtime loss to Dallas. The Seahawks are 6-1-1 ATS in their last eight games.

Carolina Panthers @ Indianapolis Colts (from +4.0 to +3.0 at BetOnline)

If the 0-10 Indianapolis Colts want to win a game this year, they may not get a better chance than this week against the 2-8 Carolina Panthers, and bettors seem to at least believe they can put up a fight at home in this one. Carolina is just 1-4 SU in their last five games, but the Colts are just 2-8 ATS this season with six straight losses ATS.

As of Thursday night, there was still no line released on the Arizona @ St. Louis game with the status of Kevin Kolb still in question.
