NFL Odds: Week 6 Betting Trends

The hot seat for Tom Coughlin could get even steamier, with his winless New York Giants kicking off the week in Chicago against the NFC North co-leading Bears.

Soldier Field is never an easy place to play, and with quarterback Eli Manning leading the league with 12 interceptions after being picked off on three straight possessions in the fourth quarter last week against Philadelphia, and the Bears' passing defense ranked ninth overall, the Giants could be in big trouble.

Though the Giants have won four straight at Soldier Field since 1991, they're also mired in a 1-4 ATS slide when catching points on the highway. Then again, the Bears are mired in a 3-10-1 ATS slide when hosting NFC East teams dating back to 1999. Chicago is -7 at Bovada.

Tampa Bay is also looking for its first win of the season, and is currently a 1.5-underdog at home against the Eagles. And while coach Chip Kelly brings Philly into central Florida after a huge win over the Giants, the Buccaneers had time to regroup with a week off, and Tampa Bay is on a 6-1 run following its bye week. Nonetheless, the Bucs have lost five in a row at home - all of which have stayed UNDER.

While many had written off defending Super Bowl champion Baltimore, the Ravens are deadlocked in a three-way tie for first in the AFC North, and are catching +3 at home from the Packers. Green Bay has won and covered four of five in this series dating back to 1995, while Aaron Rodgers and company have covered eight of 11 in the month of October.

In another interesting rivalry that will reveal Dallas' mettle after last week's disappointing home loss to the Broncos, the Cowboys are laying -6 to the visiting Redskins. In this heated NFC East rivalry, the Redskins are on an 11-2 ATS streak in Big D - including six straight covers over the Cowboys. Also, Washington has covered six of seven against division opponents, while the Pokes have dropped seven of 8 when hosting intradivisional games.
