The other NFC West contender, San Francisco, hosts the Atlanta Falcons on Monday night. The 49ers opened as 10-point favorites, but the number had surged to 12.5 by Tuesday. The Falcons are winless on the road this season and have long been playing for pride.
The Philadelphia Eagles are 3-point favorites over the Chicago Bears in another game with major playoff implications. Both teams are fighting for division titles. The line opened at Philadelphia -3.5, but the number was down to -3 almost everywhere early in the week.
The Bears are battling the Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions in the NFC North. The Eagles are neck-and-neck with the Dallas Cowboys in the NFC East.
The Packers are hoping to get quarterback Aaron Rodgers back, when the Pittsburgh Steelers visit Lambeau Field on Sunday. Rodgers, who has been out a month since injuring his collarbone, returned to practice last week, but did not play in the Packers’ comeback win over the Cowboys. The line on the Steelers-Packers game was off the board to start the week, while bettors and books monitor Rodgers’ status.
