NFL Opening Betting Lines: Week 8 Odds

The Dallas Cowboys are the biggest favorite on the Sportsbook NFL betting lines for Week 8 of the season as they look for a payout against a division rival for the second week in a row.

The Cowboys beat the New York Giants 31-21 and covered the spread at the online sportsbooks last week, and by posting six SU victories in a row they're now 6-1 SU and 5-2 ATS on the season. For this week Dallas opened as a 9-point home favorite against Washington for Monday Night Football - the Week 8 NFL betting trends, however, point out that Washington is 12-3 ATS in its past 15 games against Dallas.

The other two primetime games for this week saw the home team open as betting favorites as well. The Denver Broncos opened as 6.5-point favorites at home against the San Diego Chargers for Thursday Night Football, with the New Orleans Saints Sportsbook as 1.5-point favorites at home against the Green Bay Packers for Sunday Night Football.

The Broncos are coming off an easy win and cover against the Niners on Sunday night, while the Chargers were upset by the Chiefs. The Packers had no trouble beating the Panthers in Week 7, but the Saints fell to 2-4 both SU and ATS on the season by losing to the Lions and could find themselves as home underdogs when kickoff rolls around.

As well, the Atlanta Falcons are 3-point underdogs against the Detroit Lions for Sunday morning as those teams meet at Wembley Stadium in London.

The New England Patriots opened as 7-point home favorites against the Chicago Bears for Week 8, while the Cleveland Browns opened as 7-point home favorites against the Oakland Raiders.
