NFL Touchdown Receptions Leader Odds

With only two weeks of regular season NFL action remaining, playoff positioning isn’t the only thing fans have their eyes on as a number of important stat categories are still up for grabs. Perhaps the tightest category is receiving touchdowns with nine players having between 10 and 13 touchdown catches. Online sportsbook Sportsbook has compiled a list of the most likely players to lead the league in touchdown receptions with Doug Baldwin and Odell Beckham leading the way at +175.

Both players have 13 touchdown catches on the season, but Beckham doesn`t offer good value considering he’s suspended for the Giants’ Week 16 game vs the Vikings. It’s worth noting that the Giants play an Eagles team in Week 17 who’ve allowed a total of 30 touchdown catches this season, which is tied for third most in the league.

A month ago you would have been laughed at if you told people Baldwin would be at the top of this list near the end of the season, but if you did predict this outcome for Baldwin feel free to rub it in people’s faces throughout the Christmas holidays. Baldwin has gone on an incredible tear over the past four weeks, catching 10 touchdown passes. Baldwin and the Seahawks play the Rams this week, who are sixth best in the league at preventing touchdown passes. In Week 17, they take on a Cardinals team that might be resting its starters.

Offering the best value on the list might be Jacksonville receiver Allen Robinson who`s listed at +400. Robinson is tied with Baldwin and Beckham with 13 touchdown catches and has a juicy matchup against the Saints this week. New Orleans has allowed the most touchdown catches in the league—39. In Week 17 he takes on the Texans, who rank in the middle of the league for touchdown receptions allowed.

Tight end`s Rob Gronkowski and Tyler Eifert are on the list, but both are at risk to see a reduced number of snaps as their teams might choose to reduce their workloads with the playoffs around the corner.

The longshot on the list is Ted Ginn Jr., who`s listed at +1400. Ginn has ten touchdowns on the season but has gone off this month, scoring six touchdowns in three games.
