NFL Week 10 Betting Trends Analysis

This past week was just the second time the Detroit Lions didn't lose. The Lions were helped immeasurably by being idle.

The Lions not only have the worst record in the NFL at 1-7, but they also have the worst point spread mark, too, at 1-7.

It wasn't an uneventful bye week, though, for the Lions. Team president Tom Lewand and general manager Martin Mayhew were fired.

Now the Lions resume play with a road game against Green Bay. Do you know the year the Lions last beat the Packers in Wisconsin? Take a Scott Mitchell bobble head prize if you correctly guessed 1991.

Packers 24 Straight Over Lions at Lambeau

The Packers own a 24-game home winning streak against the Lions. That number is expected to reach 25 after Sunday as Green Bay is an 11.5-point favorite.

Since Mike McCarthy became Green Bay's coach in 2006, the Packers are 15-3 versus Detroit, covering the last four times at Lambeau Field.

The Lions, a dome stadium team, also have a streak of nine straight non-covers when playing on grass.

Ravens Set to Face Jaguars on ugly ATS Run

Based on Baltimore's 0-9-1 against the spread (ATS) mark as a favorite, you may be tempted to take 5.5 points with Jacksonville on the road. Just don't expect the Jaguars to win the game outright. That hasn't happened the past 13 times the Jaguars have been road 'dogs.

Tampa Bay is home again. So fade away. The Buccaneers are 1-12 during their last 13 games at Raymond James Stadium, 3-10 ATS. The Buccaneers are minus 1.5 versus Dallas. The Cowboys haven't won since Tony Romo was injured going 0-6, 1-5 ATS.

However, the Cowboys have covered nine of their last 12 away contests. The game figures to be close and Tampa Bay is 2-9 under Lovie Smith in games decided by six points or less.

Tennessee is looking to halt a nine-game home losing streak. The Titans are 5.5-point home 'dogs to Carolina after upsetting New Orleans, 34-28, in overtime last Sunday. The Titans easily covered as 7.5-point road 'dogs. Note, though, the Titans are 0-10 straight-up and ATS the last 10 times following a point spread cover.
