NFL Week 10: Computer Predictions

The OddsShark Computer went 0-12-1 on NFL totals last week. The odds of that happening are astronomical. The odds of it happening again are the same.   The Computer did squeak out a 7-6 mark on sides, so not all was lost. And, as any sharp sports bettor knows, one of the keys to long-term handicapping success is to learn from past mistakes, but not dwell on them. So the Computer has rebooted and now presses forward with projections on each of the Week 10 games, including a couple of upset picks that will surprise.

The Panthers are 7-point underdogs to the defending NFC champions. Carolina has covered the spread in 12 of its 15 games against the 49ers.

The Giants have rebounded from an 0-5 start to win two straight and are coming off a bye week. The Raiders, on the other hand, were just blown out at home by the Philadelphia Eagles and now must travel cross-country to take on the Giants in an early kickoff. New York is around a 7.5-point favorite, but the Computer sees the Raiders winning in a low-scoring affair.   The Sunday primetime game between the Dallas Cowboys and New Orleans Saints will be closer than most believe, according to the Computer. The Saints have been deadly at home, covering the spread in 19 of their last 23 games as the favorites at the Superdome. But Dallas, at 7-2 ATS, has been the best bet of the first half of the season in the league, New Orleans is a touchdown favorite, but the Computer foresees a high-scoring game that could be decided by only a field goal.   The Computer believes the Denver Broncos will be involved in another high-scoring game when Peyton Manning takes on Philip Rivers and the San Diego Chargers. All eight of Denver’s games this season have gone OVER the total. The total was sitting at 58.5. The Computer has Denver winning, 41-28.  Week 10 OddsShark Computer Picks
