NFL Week 10 Prop Bets
The props list for Week 10 of the NFL season is all about new faces, as Randy Moss makes his debut for Tennessee and Chad Pennington takes over the starting QB job for Miami.
Moss gets his first taste of game action for Tennessee after getting a week off during the bye to familiarize himself with their system. Will that mean a quick and easy transition? That will likely hinge more on Vince Young than Moss.
No offense to Young, but Moss is taking a step down in quarterbacks after previously catching passes from Tom Brady and Brett Favre this season. To make matters worse, Young is also coming off an ankle injury that has him listed as probable this week.

Over at Bovada they've set their Moss receiving yards prop total at 55.5. For a player of Moss' caliber that seems quite low, but don't forget he's making his debut with a new QB and he likely didn't get to work with Young as much as he would have wanted in practice due to the pivot's bad ankle.
On the season Moss is averaging only 39.1 yards per game with a high of 81 and a low of zero. Taking the UNDER looks like a smart bet since Young may be more inclined to hit the open man, which frequent double coverage on Moss should open up.
On the other side of the field in the same game on Sunday Pennington will see his first game action since Week 3 of last season. Pennington doesn't throw a good deep ball but he is very accurate, which is why he's taking over for Henne after his three-interception performance a week ago.
At Bovada Pennington's passing yards prop total was set at 210.5 yards. In his career Pennington has averaged exactly 200 yards per game, but even so we'd go with the OVER this weekend. The reason is Henne's stats.
The Dolphins likely won't change their game plan a whole lot despite the QB switch and Henne's averaged 237.5 passing yards per game this season. It may take a lot of short passes to Brandon Marshall, but we can see Pennington topping out at around 220-230 yards this weekend.
Another interesting game for prop bettors this weekend is Philadelphia at Washington, as Donovan McNabb gets another crack at his old team. McNabb didn't exactly shine in Washington's Week 4 matchup with the Eagles, but they still won the game 17-12.
The Bovada oddsmakers have set McNabb's passing yards prop total at 220.5. In eight games this season McNabb has topped 220.5 yards four times, but against the Eagles in Week 4 he threw for a season-low 125 yards. With poor numbers like that maybe Andy Reid and the Eagles' coaches figured out how to make sure McNabb is ineffective during his long tenure in Philly.
If that is the case the UNDER looks like the way to go on Sunday.
