NFL Week 4 OddsShark Computer Picks

The Carolina Panthers went into their Week 16 matchup last season confident they could pull off the undefeated season with just the Falcons and Buccaneers left on their schedule. Atlanta played the spoiler role to perfection, however, giving their home fans the most satisfying win they would see all season.

Week 4 sees the Panthers and Falcons meet for the first time since then and the OddsShark Super Computer is predicting that Carolina will have to wait for revenge as it thinks Atlanta will not only cover as the underdog but also win straight up by six points. The Falcons’ offense has been incredibly dynamic under Kyle Shanahan and has scored 34.67 points per game.

Big Week for Blowouts

Sorry Bills, Raiders, Browns and Rams fans – but you may want to get your brown paper bags ready. The computer is predicting that all four of those teams are going to lose by at least 16 points. The Browns could be in for the most embarrassing day of the lot, though, as the computer thinks the Redskins roll at FedExField and thump Cleveland 33.5-11.4.

Cleveland has been a dumpster fire so far but they did take the Dolphins to overtime last week. Cody Kessler managed to stay healthy – something Browns’ fans are not accustomed to their quarterbacks doing – and actually had a pretty good game. Washington is 1-2 this season and has covered just once so do some more research before blindly taking the Redskins’ spread.

How will 3-0 and 0-3 teams do?

Of the teams yet to get a win this season, the computer thinks the Bears and Jags both get back on the straight and narrow. Joining the Browns, the Saints are also expected – by the computer – to keep the losing train on the tracks. The predicted score for their game with the Chargers is 29.9-17.1 in favor of San Diego.

Of the teams that have not yet lost, the computer thinks the defending Super Bowl champion Broncos will be the only squad to not continue perfection. The other 3-0 teams – the Patriots, Ravens and Vikings – are all going to win and cover according to the computer, keeping their untarnished records alive.

American Football Abroad

Football Sunday is getting extended by a few hours this weekend as the Colts take on the Jaguars in the annual game at Wembley Stadium in London, England. This one has the potential to be a tight matchup as the computer is predicting a final score of 22.6-22.4 in favor of the Jags, who are the underdog.

The Jags are 4-1 ATS in their last five games with a closing total of 49.5 or more but bettor beware – the Colts are 6-1 straight up and 5-2 against the spread in their last seven games against Jacksonville.
