NFL Week 9 Betting Primer

Finally, a winning week for the favorites after underdogs came out on top in six of the previous seven weeks. Last week also saw just two straight-up underdog wins, which is by far the lowest mark of the season.

There's two league-wide trends that we covered this week that bettors need to be aware of.

First, underdogs have been dominating divisional games, as they've now gone 78-52-7 ATS since the beginning of last season.

Second, the OVER has gone 67-51-3 through the first eight weeks of the season. Jon Campbell tells us how to approach this trend here.

Now, we look forward to the future. Week 9 is here, and it's time to make the bookie pay. Why go with your gut when I'm here to hook you up with stats, relevant betting trends and nuggets of pure gold that sportsbooks don't want you to know about. Have fun chasing that paper this weekend, and remember to play the book, don't let the book play you!
