NFL: Which RBs Will Get More Carries?

The Washington Redskins have a good dilemma on their hands this season; which of our two good running backs do we give the ball to? Matt Jones is favored to get more carries in Week 4 than Alfred Morris when the Washington Redskins host the Philadelphia Eagles Sunday per Bovada.

Morris has seen his carries drop from 25 to 18 to six through the first three weeks of the season, which has also seen his yards per rushing attempt take a large drop. In Week 1 Morris rushed for 121 yards and in the two games since combined for 78 yards on the ground.

Rookie RB Jones had a massive game against the St. Louis Rams in Week 2 with 123 yards and two touchdowns on 19 carries. The Florida product has averaged 12 carries per game while Morris has averaged 16.3.

Hill favored to get more carries than Bernard

Despite both Giovani Bernard and Jeremy Hill having the same amount of carries this season (41) it is the latter that is favored to get more rushing attempts in Week 4 against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Hill has been hurting to break runs of any length, as he is the north-south runner with just 3.0 yards per rush. The LSU alum has also not scored a touchdown since Week 1 when he found pay dirt twice.  

Bernard has been used as the scatback for the Bengals with an average of 5.7 yards per carry, which is second among running backs in the NFL this season.
