Steelers home dogs to Bears Sunday

The mighty Pittsburgh Steelers are home underdogs for only the fifth time under coach Mike Tomlin, when the Chicago Bears visit on Sunday night.

But they have been very tough in this position, going 8-1-1 ATS in 10 games since 2000, according to the new Odds Shark NFL database.

The undefeated Bears opened as 2-point favorites over the struggling 0-2 Steelers, who have major issues on offense.

Pittsburgh has scored just 19 points in its first two games in losses to the Titans and Bengals. The Steelers rank 31st in rushing and 26th in passing and will be on a short week, after falling at Cincinnati on Monday night.

The Bears have pulled out two close games to start the season. They needed a last-minute touchdown pass from Jay Cutler to nip the Minnesota Vikings, 31-30, Sunday.

This will be the first road game for the Bears this season. Chicago is 1-5-1 ATS in its last 7 games, while the Steelers have limped to 1-6 ATS mark lately. Pittsburgh has trended heavily UNDER the total at home (11 of Pittsburgh's last 12 games).
