Super Bowl 50 Super Computer Pick

After going two for two on Championship Sunday, the OddsShark Super Computer is looking to carry a strong finish through to the Super Bowl. Earlier in the week we debated on how the Broncos can win, and why the Panthers should win, but with so many facts and trends supporting both teams, it can be hard to nail down a rock solid prediction.

Fortunately the Super Computer doesn’t struggle with mental and emotional conflicts like us humans do. The computer has no heart, no favorite team, and simply doesn’t have the capacity to care about any of the off-field storylines going into the game.

If you prefer the human element, check out our Team OddsShark members Nick Kostos and Dan Katz in the video above as they deliver their picks for Super Bowl 50.

Taking only everything that matters into consideration, here’s the Super Computer’s pick for Super Bowl 50:

It’s been a dream season for the Panthers and their fans this season, and the Super Computer expects that to continue, predicting the Panthers to win 25.2 – 20.2. The Panthers have scored at least 25 points in 15 of their 18 games this season, and holding the Broncos to the 20 point mark shouldn’t be an issue for a defense that’s allowed an average of 16.3 points over their last three games.

A lot has been made of the dominant Broncos defense who held both Tom Brady and Ben Roethlisberger to under 19 points in back-to-back games, but Cam Newton and the Panthers are a completely different beast. The Seahawks and Cardinals, two of the NFC’s top defenses, were basically chewed up and spit out by the Panthers offense, so if they’ve done it before, there’s no reason to think that they can’t do it again against the Broncos.

Now that the Super Computer has made its pick and score prediction, let us know who you like in the comments section below.
