Super Bowl Gatorade Shower Prop Odds
In the last 13 years only three head coaches have escaped a Gatorade bath after winning the Super Bowl. With frigid temperatures expected for the Big Game at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J., both Denver Broncos coach John Fox and Seattle Seahawks coach Pete Carroll would likely prefer to stay dry.
Super Bowl prop bettors, however, want to see a dousing. Oddsmakers at Bovada have installed “Clear/Water” as the favorite to be the color of liquid refreshment dumped on the winning coach.
“Clear/Water” opened as a 2/1 favorite, followed by “Orange” and “Yellow,” which were listed at 3/1 when Bovada posted Super Bowl prop bets on Thursday. “Red” (5/1), “Blue” (7/1), and “Green” (10/1) are the other betting choices on the board.
A clear liquid or water was dumped on four straight Super Bowl-winning coaches from 2003 to 2006. Yellow, orange, and purple have each been used by the winning team twice over the last 13 Super Bowls.
If nothing is dumped on the winning coach after the game, all bets will be ruled “No action.”
