Texans battle Colts in Week 1 odds

It's rare to see the Colts open as such a huge underdog, but the absence of Peyton Manning and playing on the road against a hungry Houston Texans team has Indy as 9-point underdogs.

There are two huge OVER trends for Houston, as it has prevailed in 10 of the past 12 games vs the Colts and in 11 of the past 13 games in September.

But beware some historical facts: Indy is 16-2 SU lifetime against the Texans; Houston is 1-6 ATS their past 7 season openers; the Colts have been cover machines in Week 1 on the road and generally in the mon th of September.

Betting Line: Houston opened as 2-point favorites but the game moved all the way up to -9 when it became apparent Manning would not play, while the NFL total was set at 47 for over under betting. That number has also been bet down (to 43 at Sportsbook), in part because Arian Foster is questionable for the Texans.
