Redskins Aim to Extend Rare Win Streak in Road Date with Woeful Giants

The Washington Redskins look to close out the 2017 NFL campaign with a third straight victory when they take on the New York Giants on Sunday in a clash of NFC East rivals at MetLife Stadium. Washington improved to 7-8 with last week’s 27-11 win over Denver as 3-point home chalk while the Giants were blanked 23-0 in Arizona as 3-point underdogs in their fifth straight defeat.

Shark Bites
  • The total has gone UNDER in nine of the Redskins’ last 12 games against the Giants.
  • The Redskins are 1-4 SU in their last five games on the road against the Giants.
  • The Giants are 12-4 SU in their last 16 games at home against teams with losing records.

Last week’s win over the Broncos earned Washington consecutive victories for the first time since Week 3, and sets the stage for the Redskins to win three straight for the first time since October 2016. The Redskins have held opponents to 13 points per game during their current surge, which extended their home win streak to three games, but Washington is a meager 1-5 SU and 2-4 ATS in its past six on the road, and has been held to 14 or fewer points in three of its past four.

The Giants look to avoid a season-high sixth straight loss in their season finale. The New York offense has sputtered down the stretch, scoring 12 or fewer points in four of the squad’s past six outings. But the Giants still managed to cover in three of those contests, including ATS wins in two of their past three home dates.

The Redskins visit New York as betting favorites for the first time since 2004. Washington has taken three of four overall from their Big Apple rivals, including a 20-10 win as 7-point home chalk in Week 12, and is 4-1 SU and ATS in the past five matchups with the Giants as road chalk.
