Why the Giants Will Win the Super Bowl

The New York Giants are a 3-point underdog at most sportsbooks for the Super Bowl.

Not only are they a great team to get three points on, but the Giants may also be a great NFL betting value on the moneyline to win the Super Bowl outright.

The Giants enter the game red hot with five straight wins both straight up and against the spread. New York’s playoffs started back in a Week 16 matchup against the New York Jets; after winning that game, the Giants went on to beat Dallas and Atlanta at home before traveling to Green Bay and San Francisco to knock off the NFC’s top two teams.

The Giants have been in “playoff mode” for over a month now; meanwhile, New England’s win over Baltimore last week was their first against a team that had a winning record in the regular season. And Tom Brady struggled quite a bit. [ See New York Giants Prop Bets here ]

Both teams have elite offenses, but looking at defenses, it isn’t even close. New York is finally healthy on defense and has allowed just 13.4 points per game over its last five games while getting great pressure on the quarterback.

New England ranked 30th in both total defense (410.3 yards against per game) and passing defense (293.2 passing yards against per game); how can you like their chances against Eli Manning, Hakeem Nicks, and Victor Cruz?

New England backers love to talk about the revenge factor, but is motivation really going to be an issue in this game? It is the SUPER BOWL. It is what every NFL player wants at the beginning of every year.

New England may be driven by revenge, but New York will be just as driven to finish their season on top of the league.

The Giants topped the Patriots back in 2008 in Super Bowl XLII, and more recently they went into New England this season and beat the Patriots there. They have this team’s number, they have the superior defense, and they are the team to beat this Sunday.
