Wild Card Weekend Betting Picks

For the first time in eight weeks, the Odds Shark NFL scores predictor had a losing record, going just 7-8 ATS on the week (the Pittsburgh-Cleveland game was not counted due to the late posting off odds for that game).

But in six of those eight weeks, it produced a winning record and points itself at Wild Card Weekend where the odds are intriguing and the handicapping regime changes. [ See the latest Wild Card props listings as well ]

Discounting any weather considerations, the machine is picking all four Wild Card games to play OVER the total. It likes the Texans to snap a three-game losing skid and beat the Bengals at home and for the Saints to beat Detroit in a high-scoring battle (although it has the Lions covering the 10-point spread).

On Sunday, the scores computer likes the road teams, which follows a trend over the past five NFL seasons. In each season, at least two Wild Card road teams have won outright, so if the Falcons win at New York and the Steelers win at Denver, that streak will be maintained.

Week 17 ATS Results

Our handicappers cautioned against applying normal analysis to Week 17 when strange things happen. For example the Packers were home underdogs playing their bench players against the Lions. But they still won when backup QB Matt Flynn threw for six TDs!
