Devils, Lightning on NHL lines
In the lone NHL betting action on Monday night it’s the New Jersey Devils in Tampa Bay to play the Lightning, who will likely be a small home favorite.
New Jersey doubled Tampa Bay 4-2 in Florida in their only other meeting this season. The Devils seem to have the Lightning’s number with four wins in the last five head-to-head.
Tampa Bay has struggled to find their playoff groove of last season with four losses in their past five games, while the Devils are turning things around with two wins in their last three matchups.
The goaltending is usually a strength for both these teams, but not this season as the OVER bettor has capitalized the majority of times in totals betting.
Detroit has been absolutely dominant at home, but despite being among the elite teams in the NHL they have struggled on the road. It won’t get any easier on the road for the Red Wings as they roll into Pittsburgh in NHL betting action at 5Dimes on Tuesday night.
The Red Wings have lost just nine games so far, with seven of those defeats coming on the road. Pittsburgh will be a home favorite in this contest and will draw the majority of interest on the NHL betting lines at 5Dimes.
The Penguins are a solid 8-2-2 on home ice this season and have won four of the last five head-to-head. Four of the previous five encounters between Pittsburgh and Detroit have made winners of UNDER bettors in totals betting.
Many will be looking forward to NHL betting action on Wednesday when the Chicago Blackhawks take on the league-leading Minnesota Wild. The Blackhawks were in first place in the Central Division standings after the weekend's NHL betting action.
Chicago has won four of the last five head-to-head, but this Wild team is much different and that shouldn’t be the sole basis for a wager on the Blackhawks. Chicago has not played well in its last 10 games, while Minnesota has dominated and continues to get better.
Minnesota could see the lion’s share of action from bettors on the NHL betting lines at 5Dimes in this contest.
