Midweek NHL Betting Odds
Both Tuesday and Wednesday night could provide some great opportunities for wagering on the OVER/UNDER for National Hockey League games.
If the Rangers can stop Alex Ovechkin they have a chance, but Ovi has thrived in the Big Apple. He will lead -135 favored Washington - who are on a four-game winning streak - when they take on the +115 Rangers on Tuesday. Washington has won three straight over New York coming into this one. The Capitals have lit the lamp for an average of five goals per game over their current win streak - and wagering the OVER could prove to be a solid bet. [View Capitals vs Rangers Matchup]
The Canucks will look to stay hot when they bring a six-game win streak into Montreal to face a team going the other way – the Canadiens have dropped three of four. Montreal might be a good underdog as Sports Interaction have them at +105 at home. Vancouver (-125) is one of the highest-scoring teams in the league, and boasts the best power play. However, the Habs excel on the penalty kill. UNDER bettors might use this information to collect on the totals. [View Canucks vs Canadiens Matchup]
Toronto sits near the bottom in both the defensive and offensive categories, so if they want to turn their current five-game skid around they will need to find ways to put the puck in the net. The Maple Leafs are +130 underdogs at Sports Interaction when they meet the -150 favored Lightning, who return home after a rough road trip that saw them lose three of four. Between the two teams, seven of their combined nine games have seen the UNDER payout. This could be the most intelligent wager of the night.

Another interesting line for Tuesday has Atlanta as a +140 underdog at Sports Interaction against the Ottawa Senators, who are favored at -155. Colorado is paying -135 over the Flames, and Anaheim is a +165 underdog versus the Sharks, who sit at -185.
Boston has suffered back-to-back losses and facing the Penguins on Wednesday would usually be a big task to undertake, but the Bruins are a stellar 5-1 on the road. Pittsburgh will likely be favored at home, but there’s one problem – they are a dismal 2-4 in the new Consol Energy Center. This could be a time to bet on the away team, and with the goaltending the Bruins are getting the UNDER could also be a wager worth making.
Phoenix is near the bottom of the Western conference standings, but could prove to be a formidable underdog against Chicago on Wednesday. It must be noted that OVER bettors have won in four of five of the Coyotes' past contests, and two of the last three games have gone OVER for the Blackhawks.
