Every game is important in the playoff race now, and Saturday’s matinee between the New York Rangers and Philadelphia Flyers is no different as the top two teams in the Atlantic Division face off in NHL betting action.
Philadelphia has struggled of late, but shouldn’t have any trouble getting up for this betting matchup against their rival.
New York could be a small road favorite in this contest with four straight wins over the Flyers this season, including one at the Wells Fargo Center. The Rangers are winners of six straight head-to-head and should see most of the attention from bettors on the NHL betting lines at 5Dimes.
Later on Saturday evening it’s an Original Six betting matchup between the Montreal Canadiens and Toronto Maple Leafs. Toronto will be a home favorite against the road-weary Canadiens.
The Maple Leafs lead the season-series 2-1, but Montreal did win the last game at the Air Canada Centre early in the New Year. Toronto has lost just eight home games in regulation, while Montreal has struggled on the road.
Toronto is a team playing for its playoff life versus a team like Montreal in complete turmoil; the Maple Leafs will see the majority of attention on the NHL betting lines at 5Dimes. Three of the last four meetings between these teams have made winners of UNDER bettors in totals betting.
The San Jose Sharks will try and do what most teams can’t seem to do in St. Louis, and that is beat the Blues on their ice in NHL betting action on Sunday.
St. Louis had dropped just three games in regulation at home heading into weekend NHL betting action and they will be favorites in this contest at 5Dimes. The Blues blanked the Sharks 1-0 at home earlier in the season, and pulled out a 4-2 victory in San Jose as well.
The Blues will get most of the attention on the NHL betting lines, while three of the last four head-to-head have sent OVER bettors to the payout window in totals betting.
