NHL Playoff Betting Odds Update
After getting crushed by the Canucks in Game 2 on Wednesday night the San Jose Sharks need a win on Friday as they head home down 2-0 in the Western Conference final.
The Canucks' offense exploded in Game 2 and they whipped the Sharks 7-3 as a -155 favorite. Kevin Bieksa had a Gordie Howe hat trick with a goal, an assist, and a fight with Patrick Marleau in the win. Both Sedin twins had big games, as Daniel netted a pair of goals and Henrik collected three assists.
Christopher Higgins also had three points with a goal and two assists, while Roberto Luongo made 28 saves.

Logan Couture scored his seventh goal of the postseason for San Jose, and Patrick Marleau deposited his fifth of the playoffs.
After taking the first two games the Canucks are huge -550 favorites in the series at betED. The Sharks have sunk to +420 underdogs. Heading home for Game 3 the Sharks are a -135 favorite. The Canucks may be the smart pick, though, as they are 4-1 in their last five games at San Jose and they're 4-2 on the road in the postseason so far.
In the Eastern Conference final the Bruins have a 2-1 series lead after winning on the road in Tampa Bay as a +100 underdog on Thursday night. Boston shut down a Tampa Bay offense that had scored 10 goals in the first two games in a 2-0 victory. Tim Thomas made 31 saves to record the shutout, while David Krejci and Andrew Ference scored in the win.
Patrice Bergeron made his debut in the series for Boston after missing the first two games with a concussion. Bergeron did not register a point in the game but he picked up right where he left off in the faceoff circle, winning 64% of his draws.
The Game 3 loss snapped the Lightning's three-game home winning streak. Dwayne Roloson made 23 saves, but that was a couple too few with Thomas pitching a shutout. Teddy Purcell led the Lightning with six shots on goal, and Vincent Lecavalier fired five shots at Thomas, coming up empty.
The series resumes Saturday afternoon with Game 4 in Tampa Bay; the Lightning should be favored at home. The series odds at betED before Game 3 had both teams listed at -110. Expect the Bruins to take the lead on the odds heading into Game 4, but that could reverse if the Lightning can even the series on Saturday.
