Sharks, Wings NHL playoff betting

San Jose has been on the better end of three one-goal games and can close out the Red Wings and advance to the Western Conference final with a win Friday night in NHL playoff betting action.

Sports Interaction has the Red Wings as -130 home favorites for Game 4 at Joe Louis Arena, with the OVER/UNDER total set at 5.5.

The odds are stacked enough against Detroit, but the Red Wings were down three games and took Game 4 against the road underdog Sharks last season. San Jose did rebound and eliminate Detroit in five games in last year’s Western Conference playoffs.

The series betting lines favor the Sharks with their dominating record over the Red Wings, but Game 4 might be the time to take the home favorite Red Wings with what’s at stake for them.

Detroit was the highest scoring team during the regular season and needs its gifted forwards to match up against the strong San Jose power play, which was second best in the league.

Both teams have received top-notch playoff goaltending with two of three games rewarding UNDER bettors in totals betting, and this trend could very well continue in the series.

It seems like deja vu with Boston holding a commanding 3-0 lead over the Philadelphia Flyers in their second-round playoff series. This is the second straight season the Bruins have held this lead over the Flyers, but they blew it last year and know not to look ahead.

The Bruins host the Flyers as a -180 home favorite at Sports Interaction for Game 4 of this Eastern Conference matchup Friday night. The posted OVER/UNDER total is set at 5.5.

Boston exploited the suspect Flyers goaltending situation in Game 3. It’s the lack of a No. 1 goaltender that has caused Philly to use three goalies in the postseason.

Boston will want to close out the road underdog Flyers with Tampa Bay already advancing to the Eastern Conference final, and they will not want to allow any momentum to build for Philly.

The Bruins will be the popular choice among bettors on the NHL betting lines for Game 4. Boston has taken advantage of the challenges of the Flyers' goalies, and put a lot of pucks behind them. The OVER bettor has cashed out in two of three games in totals betting this series.
