Stanley Cup Final Game 4
The Philadelphia Flyers made it a series with a win over the Chicago Blackhawks in Game 3. With another victory tonight the Flyers can knot the series 2-2.
The Flyers finally broke through in Game 3 with a 4-3 win in overtime. Claude Giroux netted the OT winner and also recorded two assists for a three-point night. Ville Leino continued his career resurrection with his sixth goal of the postseason, while Danny Briere and Scott Hartnell also scored for the Flyers.

Michael Leighton made 24 saves to earn the victory for Philly. The Blackhawks had their seven-game winning streak snapped by the Game 3 loss.
The defeat also snapped their seven-game road win streak. Oddly enough the Blackhawks lost their first game of the final in which Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane finally put some points on the board. Toews and Kane, the Blackhawks’ top two scorers, had been shut out in the first two games of the final. In Game 3 Kane notched a goal and an assist and Toews recorded an assist.
The rest of the Blackhawks’ offense in Game 3 came from the blue line, as Duncan Keith and Brent Sopel both scored in the loss. Despite the loss Antti Niemi actually had a solid night in nets, allowing four goals on 32 shots. Niemi was heavily tested in the third as the Flyers outshot the Blackhawks 15-4.
The Flyers won Game 3 as -135 favorites at Bovada, but their odds for Game 4 are actually worse despite posting their first win of the series. The latest odds for Game 4 have the Flyers down as only -115 favorites. The total remains the same as it was in Game 3, once again set at 5.5. With Game 4 being played in Philadelphia my money will be on the Flyers.
Philly has been practically unbeatable at the Wachovia Center in the postseason with a six-game winning streak at home and a 6-1 record overall. The real difference maker for Philadelphia so far in the series has been Chris Pronger, and he should continue to terrorize the Blackhawks tonight.
Pronger's aggressive style has made pest Dustin Byfuglien an afterthought in the series and had also helped shut out Toews and Kane before their quiet breakout in Game 3. Pronger has also gotten into the Hawks’ heads with his off-ice and post-game antics, and he should be a major factor tonight as Philly ties up the series.
