Lightning Continue Push Without Stamkos

The news that Tampa Bay Lightning superstar Steven Stamkos would be out for the foreseeable future was a devastating blow for both player and team, but it didn’t stop the Bolts from producing a 3-1 win over the New Jersey Devils Saturday. The Lightning will continue their push for the Atlantic Division crown with a visit to Brooklyn to face the New York Islanders Monday evening.

Shark Bites
  • The Lightning are 5-2 SU in their last seven games overall.
  • UNDER has cashed in each of the Lightning’s last three games versus the East.
  • The Islanders are 0-4 SU in their last four games versus teams with a winning record.

That road success has not carried over to visits to the Islanders. The Isles have gone 7-1 SU in their last eight games versus the Bolts on home ice but this will be Tampa’s first visit to Brooklyn this season.

The teams have split the two previous meetings this season with the Isles winning 3-2 back on November 28 and the Bolts returning the favor by a score of 7-4 on March 25.
