Vancouver Canucks New Coach Odds
John Tortorella didn't last long in Vancouver and the odds are strong that a recently sacked coach will replace him.
In fact, one of the top betting choices in odds on the next Vancouver Canucks coach hasn't even been fired yet. Todd McLellan, presumably, will be the fall guy in San Jose after the Sharks choked in their first round series against Los Angeles.
The other top choice (both are +275 according to Bovada) is Barry Trotz. The longtime Nashville Predators coach was sacked a few weeks ago after the Preds failed to make the playoffs again.
When the Canucks fired GM Mike Gillis and replaced him with former team captain Trevor Linden speculation was rampant that Tortorella would be gone.
Among the other top candidates, John Stevens (the former Flyers coach) is at +375 along with former Panthers coach Kevin Dineen, who coached Canada's women to Olympic gold.
Who will be the next full time Head Coach of the Vancouver Canucks?
Barry Trotz 11/4 (+275)
Todd McLellan 11/4 (+275)
John Stevens 15/4 (+375)
Kevin Dineen 15/4 (+375)
Marc Crawford 5/1 (+500)
Brad Shaw 5/1 (+500)
Guy Boucher 15/2 (+750)
