Klitschko Huge Favorite Over Sosnowski
Boxing fans could have a slaughter on their hands this weekend when Vitali Klitschko steps into the ring to face challenger Albert Sosnowski.
Klitschko puts his WBC World Heavyweight title on the line against Sosnowski, but something shocking would likly have to happen for him to lose it. All the experts and the odds makers expect this one to be completely one-sided and to end quickly if Klitschko can land a few powerful shots on Sosnowski.
The latest odds have Klitschko listed as a -4000 favorite, which should tell you just how the fight is expected to go. Anyone looking to lose a few dollars can bet on Sosnowski at +1100.
Klitschko enters this weekend's bout sporting a 39-2 record with 37 wins by knockout. He last fought in December against Kevin Johnson and won by unanimous decision. Klitschko controlled the fight from the opening bell and Johnson never had a chance while constantly covering up and fighting a defensive style to avoid taking a hard shot from Klitschko and end up in the canvas.
Sosnowski has a respectable record 45-2-1 with 27 wins by KO, but he's never beaten anyone of Klitschko's caliber. The only reason he's even showing up on Klitschko's radar is because of wins over Francesco Pianeta and Paolo Vidoz, neither of which was anything to write home about.
Sosnowski also has rather embarrassing losses to the likes of Zuri Lawrence, who doesn't come close to matching Klitschko's size, power or skill in the ring.
If you need more proof that this fight likely won't go the distance look at the latest over/under round odds. The total for the over/under was set at 9.5 round. Not that unusual, but the odds definitely are.
The Under is heavily favored at -300, while the Over is listed at +220. Look for the Under to pay when Klitschko puts Sosnowski down by the sixth round.
