Blue Jays are Going UNDER Behind Sanchez

Aaron Sanchez Toronto Blue Jays

The Toronto Blue Jays narrowly avoided a sweep at the hands of a last place team in the American League after the All-Star break, and they’ll tangle with another cellar dweller on Tuesday when the Arizona Diamondbacks host them for a two-game interleague set at Chase Field.

Shark Bites
  • The Blue Jays are 9-2-1 to the OVER in their last 12 games as road favorites
  • The Diamondbacks are 4-1 to the OVER in their last 5 games as home underdogs.
  • The Diamondbacks are 3-7 SU in their last 10 games as underdog.

Aaron Sanchez and Zack Godley are the probable starters. Sanchez (9-1, 2.97 ERA) has held opponents to two runs or fewer in seven of his last eight outings. The 24-year-old is 6-0 with a 2.20 ERA in 10 road starts on the year.

Godley (2-0, 5.28) is being recalled from Triple-A Reno to take the spot of the struggling Shelby Miller, who was recently sent to the minors. Godley allowed a run in 1.5 innings of relief at Toronto last month.

In Sanchez's last four starts, the UNDER is a perfect 4-0. The total for the tilt opened at 9.5.

Indians Have Been a Good Bet When Salazar Takes the Mound

The Indians dropped a game to the Royals last night but will be pretty disappointed if they don’t even up the series tonight as they send their breakout star Danny Salazar (10-3, 2.75 ERA) to the mound at Kauffman Stadium to take on Brian Flynn (2.39 ERA) who is making his first start of the year.

The Indians are 7-1 in their last eight games with Salazar as their starting pitcher.
The visiting team is 0-9 in the last nine matchups between these teams.
The total has gone OVER in 10 of the Royals' last 12 games on Tuesday.

Salazar is coming off a rough outing against the Yanks in which he gave up six runs. Before that game, though, he had a seven-game winning streak and his ERA was as low as 2.22. Salazar has owned the Royals this year with a 0.57 ERA in two starts that both resulted in Indians’ wins.

Flynn has been pitching some pretty good relief for the Royals this year but has only made five starts throughout his entire career. His longest outing this year was in a long relief role in a game Volquez got torched for 11 earned runs in the first inning. Flynn pitched five innings of one-run ball in that appearance.

The Royals have been impressive at home this year but Salazar has been lights out on the road. If you can find the Indians plus money anywhere, it may be a wise wager.

OVER is Cashing in Interleague Play This Year and is Likely to Tonight

The Giants head into Fenway tonight to open up an interleague series with the Boston Red Sox. San Fran will let Jake Peavy (5-7, 5.09) handle the pitching duties as they try to break the BoSox unbeaten record with Rick Porcello (11-2, 3.66 ERA) on the mound.

The Giants are 3-8 in their last 11 games vs the Red Sox.
The Red Sox are 9-3 in their last 12 interleague games.
The Giants are 6-1 in their last 7 games as the underdog.

Porcello’s record this year has definitely been helped by the run support he’s received from the number one offense in baseball, but he is also having the best statistical year of his career. At Fenway this season, Porcello is 8-0 with a 3.32 ERA and his only start against the Giants this campaign he picked up a no-decision after a three-run six-inning quality start.

Jake Peavy, however, is trending in the opposite direction. He is having the worst statistical season of his career and has been absolutely brutal on the road. Away from AT&T Park, the veteran righty has a 6.64 ERA and a 1-5 record.

The Red Sox are a pretty heavy favorite tonight and it betting on Peavy is a tough sell. A bet to look at is the OVER as interleague play games have produced an OVER/UNDER record of 105-66-9 so far this year.

Dodgers Aim To Extend Winning Streak Vs Nationals

The Los Angeles Dodgers have had little problem when facing the Washington Nationals, as LA has won the past five contests between the clubs. The Nats’ hitters have been completely shut down in those games with the team plating a combined six runs – which includes being shut out twice.

Shark Bites
  • Daniel Murphy is expected to return to the Nationals lineup after resting with a hamstring injury.
  • The UNDER is 5-0 in the past five games between the Dodgers and Nationals.
  • The UNDER is 6-0 in the Nationals’ past six games.

Scott Kazmir will take to the mound coming off 10-days rest thanks to the All-Star Break. The lefty has been inconsistent so far this season but has particularly faltered on the road with a 5.40 ERA away from Dodgers Stadium.

Those betting on MLB baseball odds will look to pick a winner at Nationals Park on Tuesday as the host Washington Nationals battle the Los Angeles Dodgers in baseball betting odds action.

gets the call for the Washington Nationals and he will try to build on a 0-0 mark. In the other dugout, Scott Kazmir brings a 7-3 ledger to the game for the Los Angeles Dodgers as he tries to quiet the Nationals bats.

NFL: 2016 Most Passing Yards Prop Odds

If there has been one constant in the NFL over the past five seasons, it’s that Drew Brees will be throwing the ball a lot. Brees has led the league in passing yards in four of the past five years – while finishing second the lone year he didn’t pace the NFL.

With that in mind, Brees is a +500 favorite to accomplish the feat once again in 2016 according to Bet365.

The big dogs in the Premier League are once again barking and the juggernaut of Manchester United may be barking the loudest. The Red Devils have made some huge moves leading up to the 2016-17 season, including their purchase of Swedish legend Zlatan Ibrahimović.

Online shop Bovada has released some special props based on this year’s transfers and one of my favorites is whether or not Ibrahimović will score OVER or UNDER 14.5 goals.
