Wizards Simply Seem To Have Hawks’ Number

The Atlanta Hawks are hoping that a change of scenery can reverse their playoffs series with the Washington Wizards. However, the Wiz have simply been getting the better of the Hawks recently, no matter where they play. The Wizards are 5-0 SU and 4-1 ATS in their past five games against the Hawks while posting an average scoring margin of plus-9.6 points per game.

Raptors Can’t Get It Done As Road Dogs

If we’ve learned anything from the Eastern Conference playoff picture, it’s that parity reigns supreme in that half of the league. One of the prime examples has been the Toronto Raptors struggle against the Milwaukee Bucks. After a Game 3 beatdown, the Raptors have also proven to be incapable of a road upset, as the team is 8-20 SU in their past 28 games as road dogs.

UFC: 2017 Underdogs vs Favorites Record

2016 featured plenty of eye-opening upsets in the UFC. We witnessed Bryan Barberena decimate the Sage Northcutt hype train and Michael Bisping shocking the world by finally winning UFC gold over Luke Rockhold. However, when all was said and done, dogs went just 179-307 through the 2016 calendar. Underdogs won at a rate of 36.8%, which is a slight decrease from the 38.5 percent they posted in 2015.

Betting Notes For Every NFL Week 1 Matchup

Here’s a betting note for every Week 1 line for the regular season after the schedule was announced April 20.

Thursday

Chiefs at Patriots -7, 50

The Super Bowl winner is 14-2 straight up and 10-4-2 against the spread since 2000. The Super Bowl winner is usually an automatic bet for me to start the season but a full TD may tempt some Chiefs money. Then again, the Pats were the best bet of all time last season with 15 covered spreads.

The Injuries That Matter When Betting NBA Playoffs

If you follow my content here or on Twitter, then you know by now that I often talk about avoiding overreactions to injuries in sports betting — especially in pro sports.

Usually sportsbooks know about the injury and if it’s a star player, they have a solid feel on what the adjustment should be. You’re not going to get much of an advantage in these spots.

That doesn’t mean you should assume the books are always one step ahead of the public. Occasionally they are caught as off guard as you are and these are the situations where you really want to pay attention.

UFC 212: Aldo vs Holloway Betting Odds

After a year of uncertainty, the UFC featherweight division will finally have some clarity once Jose Aldo and Max Holloway face off at UFC 212. Ever since Aldo lost a quick 13-second title bout to Conor McGregor, the 145 lbs division has been in complete disarray. Aldo now finds himself as the champion while Holloway holds the interim strap and a true king of the featherweight division will finally be crowned.

Garbrandt vs Dillashaw Betting Odds

Cody Garbrandt took the UFC bantamweight crown in emphatic fashion, as ‘No Love’ dominated Dominick Cruz at UFC 207. Garbrandt now sets his sights on defending the title for the first time when he takes on TJ Dillashaw this year.

Books have opened Garbrandt as a -140 favorite with the comeback on Dillashaw at +110. Coming off Garbrandt’s amazing performance against the once-indestructible Cruz, it stands to reason he lays some chalk in this one.
