Clippers Own Series With 76ers

Chris Paul Jahlil Okafor

The Philadelphia 76ers have spent the better part of the last three seasons being doormats for the rest of the NBA, and the Los Angeles Clippers are especially enjoying seeing Philly on the schedule. The Clips are a perfect 8-0 SU and ATS in their last eight matchups with the Sixers. They can make that nine in a row with a win on Monday in the City of Brotherly Love.

  • The total has gone OVER in 17 of the 76ers' last 24 games as home underdogs.
  • The Clippers are 5-0 ATS in their last five games when favored by 9.5 or less.
  • The total has gone UNDER in eight of the Clippers' last 10 games with no days off between games.

L.A.'s last four wins over the lowly 76ers came by margins of 45, 36, 31 and 21 points. Sportsbooks opened the Clippers as 9-point road favorites for the affair.

Philadelphia ended a four-game skid on Saturday with a win over fellow Eastern Conference cellar dweller Brooklyn to increase its win total to eight. While the Sixers are still one of the worst teams in the league, the pre-Christmas addition of point guard Ish Smith has transformed the look of this team. Before the acquisition of the speedy Smith, Philly was an awful 1-30 SU.

The Sixers have been a solid play at home as of late, with the squad covering the spread in six of its previous eight tilts in front of their hometown fans.

For the year, underdogs posted a 180-288 record vs favorites, earning the W in 38.5% of fights. Will 2016 once again be a big year for the underdog, or will the favorites simply do what they’re supposed to do?

Good Betting Value in Rocket Richard Race

Alex Ovechkin Washington Capitals NHL

While the Washington Capitals and Chicago Blackhawks look like they could run away with the Eastern Conference and Western Conference at any point, the race to be the 2015-16 goal scoring champ could potentially be a bit more of a close one.

Patrick Kane of the Blackhawks currently leads the league with 30 goals, but he is not the favorite in Rocket Richard Trophy futures. That honor goes to Capitals sniper Alex Ovechkin who is currently -110 to win the award at online shop Bovada.
