Nover: Packers Need a Change at Coach

I said it after Green Bay choked away the NFC Championship Game against Seattle: Mike McCarthy should be fired. His game decisions were instrumental in the Packers losing.

The Packers, who have a key matchup on Sunday afternoon when they face the rival Vikings in essentially a pick'em game, have gotten worse this season.

NFL Week 11 Betting Trends Analysis

It takes a special set of circumstances for the Jacksonville Jaguars to be laying points in a game. The Jaguars need to be home and playing a really bad team.

That's the combination Thursday as the Jaguars are a field goal favorite hosting Tennessee. Before this matchup, the Jaguars had been favored just twice during their last 51 games.

NFL Odds: Colts Suddenly Solid ATS Bet

The Georgia Dome is the stage for Week 10’s clash between the Indianapolis Colts and the Atlanta Falcons, where the Colts will be seeking to remain red-hot at the betting window. After an ugly four-game ATS skid to start the season, Indy has covered in four out of their last five games ahead of the tilt.

Historically speaking, Indianapolis has been solid as outright winners when coming off the bye. Indy is 6-0 SU in their last six games coming off the bye – the position they’ll be in once again on Sunday.

Atlanta hasn’t exactly been lighting the world on fire when tabbed as home faves. Matt Ryan and company, who opened at -6 at most sportsbooks, are 1-5 ATS in their last six games as home chalk.

Matt Hasselbeck will start at quarterback for the Colts in place of Andrew Luck, who’s expected to miss at least a month with a lacerated kidney. In two starts this season, Hasselbeck has thrown three touchdowns and no interceptions.

NFL Week 11 Odds - Ravens vs Rams

Just how bad have the Baltimore Ravens been this season? Baltimore’s 2-7 SU record looks bad enough, but they’re also 1-7-1 ATS on the year including 0-4 ATS at home. Joe Flacco’s club will be attempting to right the ship in Week 10 against the St. Louis Rams.

Shark Bites

The Ravens are 13-5 SU in their last 18 games after losing as favorite.

The Rams are 3-10 ATS in their last 13 games in Week 11.

The total has gone under in five of the Rams' last six games on the road.

St. Louis will need to enter the matchup with a short-term memory in the wake of a 37-13 drubbing at the hands of the Chicago Bears. The Rams failed to get star rookie running back Todd Gurley involved early and looked bad on offense, while getting exposed by Teddy Bridgewater and the Vikings on defense. The Rams are now 4-5 ATS on the season.

These teams have a history of participating in a lot of high-scoring affairs. In the last eight meetings between the Rams and Ravens, the OVER has gone 6-2.

NBA Odds: Hawks at Cavaliers

Cleveland Cavaliers Kevin Love

Two of the Eastern Conference’s best teams are set to do battle Saturday when the Atlanta Hawks travel to Ohio for a date with LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers. This marks the first time since last year’s playoffs that the teams have met, where the Cavs breezed through Atlanta en route to reaching the NBA Finals.

Shark Bites
 • The OVER is 5-0 in the last 5 meetings in Cleveland.
 • The underdog is 4-1 ATS in the last 5 meetings.
 • The Hawks are 1-6 ATS in their last 7 vs. the Central.

The Cavs snapped an ugly eight-game ATS skid thanks to a 115-110 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks earlier this week, but the Hawks haven’t exactly been lighting the world on fire at the betting window either. Atlanta enters the game covering in just one of their last six matchups.

OVER bettors have been loving the wine and gold lately, and for good reason. The OVER has paid out in five out of Cleveland’s last six tilts.

Pacers are the Hottest Bet in the NBA

Indiana Pacers Paul George

The Indiana Pacers have been looking like a force to be reckoned with as of late and enter Saturday’s matchup against the Milwaukee Bucks winners of seven of their last nine games. The return of Paul George is a big reason the Pacers are relevant again after a forgettable 2014/15 campaign, with the veteran coming off an impressive 34 point effort in a 112-85 demolition of the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday. George has put up at least 26 points in eight straight games heading into the tilt.

Shark Bites
 • The OVER is 4-0 in the Bucks' last 4 overall.
 • The Bucks are 5-2 ATS in the last 7 meetings.
 • The Bucks are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 road games vs. a team with a winning home record.

Indiana has been excellent on the floor and for gamblers as well. The Pacers are 8-1 ATS in their last nine games – good enough to make them the hottest spread bet in the NBA.

Home court advantage hasn’t meant much in this series, as road sides are 5-1 ATS in the last six meetings between the clubs.

Sharks Seek Fifth Straight Road Win

San Jose Sharks Joe Thornton

The San Jose Sharks were an inconsistent bunch starting the season but have since found their footing thanks to a red-hot start to their six-game road trip. The Sharks have won four-straight to begin the trip -- each by one goal -- and will be seeking to continue that momentum Saturday in Pittsburgh.

Shark Bites
 • The home team is 14-3 in the last 17 meetings.
 • The OVER is 4-1 in the Penguins' last 5 home games.
 • The Sharks are 5-0 in their last 5 road games.

The Pens (12-7-0-0) has been particularly poor on the penalty kill in recent appearances, surrendering at least one power play goal in six consecutive games heading into the affair.

Marc-Andre Fleury (10-6-0, 2.14 GAA, .927 save percentage) and Martin Jones (10-5-0, 2.09 GAA, .925 save percentage) are slated to start in between the pipes for the Penguins and Sharks, respectively.

Rangers Have Had Edge vs Panthers

New York Rangers Derek Stepan

The New York Rangers saw their nine-game winning streak come to an end thanks to a 2-1 loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning on Thursday but will be looking to start a new streak Saturday against the Florida Panthers in the Sunshine State.

Shark Bites
 • The Rangers are 6-0 in the last 6 meetings.
 • The UNDER is 5-1-1 in the Panthers' last 7 home games.
 • The Rangers are 4-1 in the last 5 meetings in Florida.

The Rangers have gotten off to a blistering start this season (14-3-1-1) thanks largely in part to their solid play in the crease. The Blueshirts lead the league in goals-against per game (1.7) with veteran netminder Henrik Lundqvist once again leading the way for New York. The Swede is 10-3-2 with a 1.71 goals against average and .946 save percentage in 15 games this year.

Another veteran netminder is expected to counter between the pipes for Florida. Roberto Luongo owns a 6-7-2 record with a 2.33 GAA and .928 save percentage in the 2015/16 campaign.

Purdue Rolling Ahead of Tilt vs Monarchs

The campus-site portion of the Hall of Fame tip-off Tournament is over which means Saturday pits the Old Dominion Monarchs against the Purdue Boilermakers in a Naismith Bracket semifinal matchup in Uncasville, Conn.

Shark Bites
 • The UNDER is 11-3 in the Monarchs' last 14 overall.
 • The UNDER is 15-6 in the Boilermakers' last 21 overall..
 • The Monarchs are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 neutral site games.

If Purdue's opening three games are any indication, the Monarchs will have to step up in this one. Purdue has ran through North Carolina A&T 81-40, Vermont 107-79 before hammering Incarnate Word 96-61. Old Dominion has been a stingy team on defense dating back to last season. The Monarchs have not allowed any of their last eight regular season opponents to score more than 58 points in a single game.

The winner of this game will face off against either Florida or Saint Joseph's in the finals on Sunday.
