Jazz are a Fantastic Bet vs Mavs

Dirk Nowitzki Rodney Hood

Huge playoff implications are on the line in Monday’s NBA slate, as the Dallas Mavericks travel to Salt Lake City to face off against the Utah Jazz. The Mavs, who currently occupy the seventh spot in the Western Conference at 41-39 SU, sit one game above the Jazz (40-40) and two games ahead of the Houston Rockets (39-41).

Shark Bites
  • The Mavericks are 3-7 SU in their last 10 games after a loss.
  • The Jazz are 6-2 ATS in their last eight games at home.
  • The Mavericks are 7-2 ATS in their last nine games on the road.

The Jazz have been extremely successful on the floor and at the betting window against the Mavericks as of late. Utah is 7-0 SU and ATS in its previous seven matchups with Dallas. The favored team is also 7-1-1 in the last nine contests in this series.

Upon further inspection, there’s plenty more on the line in this game than just making the postseason. Dallas, who is one game behind sixth-place Memphis and 1.5 back of Portland, would surely love to advance into the sixth spot, thus avoiding powerhouses Golden State and San Antonio in the first round.

The UNDER has been a fantastic bet when Dirk Nowitzki and company take the floor as of late. In Dallas’s last six games, the UNDER is a perfect 6-0.

OVERs Commonplace When Astros Play

Royals Astros

If there is one thing that has proven to be a constant with the Houston Astros, it is the OVER cashing. The OVER is 7-1 in the Astros past eight games dating back to last season, with Houston and their opponents averaging a combined 11.3 runs per game in that span. The Astros will look to try and mend some pitching and defensive woes when they host the Kansas City Royals Monday.

Collin McHugh will bring his 135.00 ERA into Monday’s contest after the righty got absolutely lit up by the Yankees in his first outing of the year. McHugh mercifully got the hook giving up six runs and recording just one out while throwing a total of 43 pitches.

The Royals will counter with Chris Young who went a respectable five innings and gave up just two runs in his first outing of the year. Young has only faced off against the Astros three times in the past three seasons, but the veteran has given up 14 hits and 12 earned runs over 17.0 innings in those games.

O's Look To Exorcise Demons At Fenway

Orioles Red Sox

The Baltimore Orioles are one of the bigger surprises of this young season, with the team going a perfect 5-0 to start their year. The Orioles will be looking to reverse recent history when they visit the Boston Red Sox Monday, as Baltimore has lost their past four against their AL East rivals. Those games have been embarrassingly one-sided with the Red Sox outscoring the Orioles 27-1 in that span.

The Orioles will send Yovani Gallardo to the mound to make his second start of the season after signing the righty in the offseason. Gallardo’s first outing was stellar, as the Mexican hurler pitched 5.0 innings while allowing just two hits and one run.

David Price will be making his debut in front of the Fenway faithful since signing a massive contract with the Red Sox. Price’s first trip to the mound for Boston saw the lefty go six innings strong while allowing two runs and registering 10 strikeouts.

NFL Draft Prop: O/U QBs Taken in the First

Paxton Lynch Pro Day

The most important position in sports tends to take precedent when it comes to the NFL Draft, as teams have little hope to win a Super Bowl without at least a slightly above average quarterback. And though this year’s quarterback crop entering the NFL leaves something to be desired, there is no doubt that you should expect a few reaches to try and fill the vital position.

The OVER/UNDER for number of quarterbacks taken in the first round has been set at 2.5 (-1200/+650) at BetOnline.

2016 New York Primary Betting Odds

Donald Trump

New York is going to be one of the most crucial states in the race for potential presidential nominees of both the Republicans and Democrats. New York has the most delegates so far this primary season for the Democrats (291) and the second most for the Republicans (95).

NFL Draft Prop: O/U WRs Taken in the First

Laquon Treadwell Combine

The wide receiver pool enter the NFL Draft looks incredibly deep among the top tier, but there is not the same level of team altering talent we have seen in previous years. However, with the emphasis on the passing game getting bigger and bigger there is no doubt that a premium can be placed on receivers.

The OVER/UNDER for number of receivers taken in the first round has been set at 3.5 (+110/-140) at BetOnline.

Warriors Continue Pursuit of History

Klay Thompson

It’s safe to say the Golden State Warriors have significantly more to play for in tonight’s matchup with the Memphis Grizzlies. The Warriors are just the second team in NBA history to record 70 wins in a season and need three more to set the all-time record for victories in a regular season.

Shark Bites
  • The Grizzlies are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 vs. the Western Conference.
  • The UNDER is 6-1 in the last 7 meetings in Memphis.
  • The Warriors are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games following a ATS win.

The Dubs play two of their final three games against the Grizz with a trip to San Antonio wedged in between the two matchups. The banged up Grizzlies have dropped seven of their last eight to do pint sixth place in the Western Conference playoff race.

Considering the Warriors have wrapped up the No. 1 seed in the West, head coach Steve Kerr would most likely rest the majority of his starters down the stretch, but Golden State is clearly gunning to top the 1995-96 Chicago Bulls. Its safe to say Klay Thompson, Stephen Curry and Draymond Green will receive no shortage of run tonight.

The UNDER is trending when the Grizzlies and Warriors meet. In the last eight clashes between the Western Conference foes, the UNDER is 7-1.

Warriors Haven't Won in SA Since 1997

The Golden State Warriors received a massive scare against the Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday but the quest for 73 wins remains alive. Their toughest test of the campaign comes tonight, as Gregg Popovich’s San Antonio Spurs play host to Stephen Curry and company. Three more wins are needed for the Warriors to eclipse the 1995-96 Chicago Bulls’ single-season record for wins.

Shark Bites
  • The Blue Jays are 6-2 in Estrada's last eight home starts.
  • The Red Sox are 4-0 in the last four meetings in Toronto.
  • The OVER is 6-2 in Wright's last eight starts.

The Spurs are well-rested and are ready for the highest-profile game of the season. The Spurs have dominated Golden State in Texas, as the Dubs have lost 33 consecutive regular season games in the Lone Star State dating back to 1997. It’s the longest home winning streak by one team over another and the second-longest in NBA history. San Antonio topped the Warriors 87-79 at AT&T Center back on March 19.

If the Warriors can keep their hopes of reaching the Bulls alive, they’ll need to sharpen up their shooting from long range. Golden State shot two for 19 from beyond the arc against in the nail-biting victory over the Grizz.

San Antonio hasn’t just been dominating the Western Conference-leading Warriors at home. The Spurs’ are on a 48-game run at home dating back to last season - the best mark in the league.

Bulls' Playoff Hopes are Extremely Slim

Iman Shumpert

Two teams that are trending in opposite directions collide when the Cleveland Cavaliers and Chicago Bulls square off in the Windy City on Saturday. The Cavs are simply riding out the remainder of the regular season in the top spot in the Eastern Conference, while the Bulls’ playoff hopes are on life support.

Shark Bites
  • The UNDER is 6-0 in Bulls last 6 games following a straight up loss.
  • The Cavaliers are 3-8 ATS in the last 11 meetings.
  • The Bulls are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 vs. the NBA Central Division.

Chicago is on the brink of elimination and they didn’t do themselves any favors in Thursday’s 106-98 loss to the Miami Heat, as the Bulls gave up 66 points in the second half of that game. Derrick Rose and company have lost seven of their last 10 games since beating the Sacramento Kings on March 21 to move into the eighth and final playoff spot in the East.

Bettors seeking underdog value have been loving this series, and for good reason. Dogs have gone a perfect 6-0 ATS in the last six matchups between the clubs.

Chicago took the first two meetings but Cleveland won the third by a score of 106-95 on February 18 thanks to 25 points, nine rebounds and nine assists from LeBron James.
