Pacers Have Been an UNDER Machine

Indiana Pacers Paul George

The Indiana Pacers are beginning to look like their normal selves again and will have an opportunity to keep the good times rolling Wednesday in the Windy City.

Shark Bites
 • The UNDER is 8-0 in the Pacers last 8 games.
 • The home team is 9-2 ATS in the last 11 meetings between the Bulls and Pacers.
 • The Bulls are 1-8 ATS in their last 9 home games vs. a team with a losing road record.

Indiana will be attempting to garner a third straight win while limiting their opponents to under 90 points when they face off against the Chicago Bulls at the United Center. The last time these clubs collided was on Nov. 16 when the Bulls emerged triumphant by a score of 93-87 —one of just two losses by Indy in the month.

Chicago has been a hard team to read this season, and it’s becoming increasingly evident the transition under rookie coach Fred Hoiberg has not been seamless. The Bulls have just two wins in their last five, but are coming off a 104-97 win over Toronto that saw three bench players combine for an impressive 51 points.

Raptors, Wizards Trending OVER Lately

Toronto Raptors Kyle Lowry

The Toronto Raptors and Washington Wizards are on opposite ends of the health spectrum ahead of Wednesday’s tilt at the Air Canada Centre. Toronto is finally healthy again with the return of talented big man Jonas Valanciunas and defensive stopper DeMarre Carroll, while Washington is still missing key backcourt member Bradley Beal and bench contributors like Nene Hilario and Drew Gooden.

Shark Bites
 • The OVER is 6-0 in the Wizards last 6 road games.
 • The OVER is 5-1 in the Raptors last 6 overall.
 • The underdog is 8-3 ATS in the last 11 meetings between the Raptors and Wizards.

When the Raps step up on defense, they’re nearly unstoppable. The real key is bringing that effort on the defensive end every night. Toronto is 12-0 in its last 12 games when holding their opponents to double-digits and 0-7 when allowing 100 points or more in their previous 19 games.

The Wiz are coming off an ugly loss to the Los Angeles Clippers on Monday that promptly halted their four-game winning streak. Washington averaged 108.4 points per game during that streak despite dealing with the aforementioned thin roster.

Toronto has historically dominated Washington in the regular season, claiming seven of the last eight meetings between the Eastern Conference clubs.

Bishop Owns Spotless Record vs Rangers

Tampa Bay Lightning Ben Bishop

Wednesday’s slate of NHL action features a Stanley Cup Finals rematch when the New York Rangers travel to the Sunshine State to take on the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Shark Bites
 • The Rangers are 0-8 SU in their last eight games on the road.
 • The total has gone OVER in seven of the Rangers' last eight games.
 • The Rangers are 3-9 SU in their last 12 games against the Lightning.

These aren’t the same clubs we saw last June, however. New York has been struggling mightily lately, losing seven of its last nine games while going just 4-10-2 since Nov. 25th. The Blueshirts have allowed 40 goals in their previous nine heading into this one.

The Lightning are looking better as of late (7-4-1 in their last 12) but still have plenty of work to do if they plan on representing the Eastern Conference in the Cup Finals once again. Tampa is 18-5-1-3 on the season thanks to a sluggish start.

The good news for Bolts backers is the red-hot play of goaltender Ben Bishop when he faces the Rangers. Bishop owns a spotless 9-0-0 record to go along with a sparkling 1.43 goals against average in nine career regular season games against New York. Bishop was in between the pipes on Nov. 19 when Tampa topped New York by a score of 2-1.

Peach Bowl: Houston vs FSU Odds

The 2015 Florida State Seminoles weren’t grabbing the same sort of headlines as last year’s club in the wake of the departure of standout quarterback Jameis Winston to the NFL, but the ‘Noles weren’t a bad team at all this season. FSU has relied on a strong defense that’s improved as the season went on. The Seminoles are set to face off against the Houston Cougars in the Peach Bowl, and their head coach knows a little something about winning bowl games. Seminoles bench boss Jimbo Fisher is 4-1 lifetime in five bowl appearances.

The Cougars offense is one that makes opposing defenses sweat, as the unit finished eighth in the nation in scoring offense (42 points per game) in a season where Greg Ward Jr. came into his own under center.

The UNDER is trending when FSU plays its next contest after a win. UNDER bettors have gotten a pay day in seven of the Seminoles’ last nine games in light of a victory, which is where they stand after topping Florida 27-2 on Nov. 28.

Auburn Has Been an Awful Spread Play

Auburn NCAA Football

Auburn had playoff aspirations to start the season, but instead they faltered to a 6-6 record and a trip to the Birmingham Bowl against the surprise powerhouse that is Memphis. The Tigers have been a pit for money, as they are a horrible 2-14-1 ATS in their last 17 games.

Auburn’s offense was a complete mess this season with quarterbacks combining for 10 passing touchdowns and nine interceptions. The only consistent threat offensively has been Peyton Barber, who has used his bruising frame to tally 13 touchdowns this season.

Paxton Lynch has arguably been the best quarterback in the nation this season, and already has pundits talking about how well he could look in a Cleveland Browns jersey. Lynch has completed 69 percent of his passes while tossing 28 touchdowns and only three interceptions.

MMA: Emelianenko vs Singh Betting Odds

Arguably the greatest heavyweight in the history of MMA makes his return to action when Fedor Emelianenko faces Jaideep Singh at Rizin FF 2. With Fedor competing in 38 career fights, many against the greatest fighters of this generation, and Singh just two, it stands to reason that Emelianenko is a massive -1500 favorite in this one according to 5Dimes.

Louisville Playing Well Against the SEC

Louisville NCAA Football

Louisville must be happy to be ending their season against an SEC opponent, as the Cardinals are 6-2 SU and ATS in their past eight games against the conference. Louisville and the Texas A&M Aggies will meet in Nashville for the Music City Bowl.

Though things have not always been perfect for freshman quarterback Lamar Jackson, his athleticism has greatly helped with his learning curve. Jackson has been competent as a passer, but he has been even better as a rusher as he leads Louisville in rushing yards and touchdowns.

Another year, another implosion by the Aggies. After starting the season 5-0, Texas A&M has gone 3-4 in their final seven games. The Aggies offense alternated explosive and downright difficult to watch performances as they averaged 37.1 points in their wins, while scoring a mere 10.8 in their losses.

Texas Bowl: LSU vs Texas Tech Odds

Fournette LSU

The Texas Bowl features two teams that are stark contrasts to each other in LSU and Texas Tech. Texas Tech runs a high-octane offense and seemingly never have any issue putting points on the board. The Red Raiders scored 559 points on the season, making their 46.6 points per game behind only the perennially high-flying Baylor Bears for first in the nation.

Shark Bites

LSU is 11-3 SU in its last 14 games in December.

The total has gone OVER in four of Texas Tech's last five games.

The total has gone OVER in seven of LSU's last eight games after a win.

LSU suffered a fall from grace after starting the year a perfect 7-0 and ranking second in the College Football Playoff rankings. The Tigers proceeded to drop their next three for the first time in over 15 years, causing many to doubt the future of long time head coach Les Miles. Leonard Fournette is the lone standout on offense for the Tigers, as the running back rushed for a school record 1,741 yards this season.

LSU has played well against the Big 12 recently, posting a 4-0 SU and 3-1 ATS record against their last four opponents from the division.
