Penguins head to Boston in series hole

The Pittsburgh Penguins find themselves in an 0-2 hole in their best-of-seven Eastern Conference final against the Boston Bruins as those teams meet in Game 3 action on Wednesday night.

Yet history says they are fine in Beantown, as he Pens have won six straight at Boston and 9 of 12 overall since 2007.

The Bruins pushed their series lead to 2-0 on Monday night with a convincing 6-1 victory as a +165 road underdog on the NHL betting lines at the sportsbooks. Boston also blanked the Penguins 3-0 as a +165 road underdog in Game 1 of the series.

Boston battles the Penguins, currently with a 36-12 mark. The OVER/UNDER records, important for totals bettors, are 16-28-4 for the Bruins and 23-24-1 for the Penguins.

Rays open road series against Tigers

The Tampa Bay Rays will send undefeated Matt Moore to the mound on Tuesday night as they open up a three-game MLB betting set on the road against Miguel Cabrera and the Detroit Tigers.

Moore is 8-0 with a 2.18 ERA on the season, and the Rays have only lost one of the lefthander's 11 starts so far in 2013. Tampa Bay is just 3-7 over its 10 most recent games against Detroit, with the OVER/UNDER going 0-8-2 in those 10 contests.

For the Tigers, Anibal Sanchez gets the ball, charged with keeping the Rays hitters off the base paths.

Hawks seek 3-0 series lead on Kings

The Chicago Blackhawks are up 2-0 on the Los Angeles Kings in the NHL's Western Conference final as that series shifts to the Staples Center for Game 3 of the best-of-seven set on Tuesday.

Chicago pushed its series lead to 2-0 on Sunday night with a 4-2 victory as a -163 home favorite on the NHL betting lines at the sportsbooks. Andrew Shaw, Brent Seabrook, Bryan Bickell, and Michal Handzus all scored for the Hawks in that victory.

The Kings are 27-16-5 so far on the season. The Blackhawks, meanwhile, are 36-7-5. OVER/UNDER bettors have seen Los Angeles go 19-18-11 and the Blackhawks go 18-26-4 on the totals.

Pacers, Heat Game 7 betting matchup

The Miami Heat and the Indiana Pacers will battle for a berth in the NBA Finals on Monday night as the two teams meet in the deciding Game 7 of the best-of-seven Eastern Conference Finals.

Indiana forced Game 7 on Saturday night with a 91-77 victory as a 3-point home underdog on the NBA betting lines at the sportsbooks. Paul George led the Pacers with 28 points in that win, while LeBron James was good for 29 points for the Heat.

Miami is just 2-5 ATS in their past 7 home games and the over is 4-1 in the past 5 here in Miami.

“As has been the case in all of Miami’s home games in this series, the public are taking the 7 points with the Pacers and the over is once again a popular bet taking 75% of the money as of this morning,” said Kevin Bradley, sportsbook manager at Bovada.

Cards open home series against D-Backs

National League division leaders will clash on the diamond in St. Louis on Monday night as the Central-leading Cardinals open up a four-game MLB betting series against West-leading Arizona.

The Cardinals are expected to hand the ball to Lance Lynn for Monday's contest, with the righthander 7-1 on the season with a 2.91 ERA over his 11 starts. Lynn held the Royals to two runs on eight hits in seven innings in a no-decision last time out.

Trevor Cahill, with a record of 3-5 on the season, gets the ball for the Diamondbacks.

Pens look to even up set with Bruins

The Pittsburgh Penguins trail 1-0 in the best-of-seven Eastern Conference final as they remain at home and play host to the Boston Bruins in the second game of the series on Monday night.

Boston blanked Pittsburgh 3-0 as a +165 road underdog in the opener of the Eastern Conference final on Saturday, getting a 29-save shutout from Tuukka Rask in the contest. David Krejci had a pair of goals for the Bruins in that Saturday victory.

The Penguins sit at 36-12 on the season; in comparison, the Bruins are currently 28-14-6. Looking to wager on the totals? Pittsburgh is 23-24-1 OU, and Boston is 16-28-4 OU.

New York sends Hiroki Kuroda out for Sunday night's contest; Kuroda is 6-3 with a 2.39 ERA on the season.

The Chicago Blackhawks can increase their lead over the Los Angeles Kings to 2-0 on Sunday night as those two teams square off in the second game of the NHL's Western Conference final.

The Hawks went up 1-0 in the best-of-seven set on Saturday with a 2-1 home victory as a -165 favorite on the NHL betting lines at the sportsbooks. Patrick Sharp and Marian Hossa scored for Chicago in that win, and Justin Williams replied for the Kings.

Chicago will face the 27-16-5 Kings. In totals betting, the Blackhawks are 18-26-4 favoring the UNDER so far this season while the Kings are 19-18-11 favoring the OVER.
