Notre Dame vs USC Betting Prediction

The newest No. 1 team in the land, 11-0 Notre Dame, heads West for one of its great rivalry games vs. 7-4 USC at the Coliseum Saturday night (8 pm ET, ABC).

The Irish are one win away from playing in the BCS title game, while the Trojans will be without injured QB Matt Barkley. Regardless, Notre Dame faces a team that has beaten them 9 of the past 10 meetings.

The Irish are 2-6 SU and ATS here since 1996.

No line had been set early in the week (*editor note, BetOnline had it at -6.5 as of mid-week), but watch for updates shortly.

No. 5 Duke won and covered the posted spread in its first two games of the tournament against Minnesota and VCU, while No. 2 Louisville got past Northern Iowa and Missouri to reach the final.

The Cardinals will try to spoil to the party on Saturday; they are 3-2 ATS against the number this season, while the Blue Devils are 3-2 ATS. Louisville is 1-1 on the totals; Duke is 3-2. Both teams are 5-0, watch for the opening Duke odds at Bovada shortly.

Clemson South Carolina Betting Preview

In the Palmetto State rivalry 10-1 Clemson, winner of its last seven games, takes on 9-2 South Carolina Saturday night at Death Valley (7 pm ET, ESPN).

In early wagering on this game the Tigers, who have lost the last three games in this series, were favored by four points over the Gamecocks, themselves riding a three-game winning streak.

South Carolina is 5-1 ATS in the past 6 meetings with Clemson.

Broncos vs Chiefs: Week 12 betting

The Denver Broncos have won five straight games and the Kansas City Chiefs have lost seven straight games, and both trends could continue when the Broncos meet the Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium this Sunday.

However bettors need to be aware of this tricky trend when Denver is a huge favorite. In the past 10 games where the Broncos were favored by 8+ points, they are 0-10 ATS.

And the last time they were a double-digit road favorite, it was here in Kansas City a few years back and they lost out right to KC.

Denver is 4-1 ATS over its 5-0 SU run while Kansas City is 2-5 ATS over its 0-7 SU run.

Each of the last three games between these two division rivals have gone UNDER the posted total. Kansas City is 2-3 SU and 1-4 ATS in its last five home games against the Broncos and 0-6 SU and 1-5 ATS in its last six home games overall.

GSP Silva Superfight Odds

A GSP vs Anderson Silva superfight has been talked about for years and it may be closer to reality in 2013 than at any point in history.

Clearly, time is running out for these two dominant fighters to meet for a huge payday while both are still at the top of their game.

If it happens, online sportsbooks Bovada gives a slight odds edge to Silva, the longtime middleweight champion who boasts the longest winning streak and title-defense run in UFC history, with 16 straight wins and 10 title defenses.

Grizzlies vs Lakers Betting Preview

The Memphis Grizzlies will be looking to bounce back from a rare ATS loss on Friday night as they play host to Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers.

Memphis fell 97-92 to Denver last time out as a 7-point home favorite, putting them at 8-2 both SU and ATS through their first 10 games of the season - and those eight ATS victories are tied for tops in the NBA.

The Lakers had won three games in a row both SU and ATS versus the Grizzlies until their last meeting last March. Overall Los Angeles has surprisingly struggled to records of 6-6 SU and 5-7 ATS this year.

Memphis will face the 6-6 Lakers, who own a 5-7 ATS mark on the season. (Note: follow us on Twitter for line updates and injuries news). In totals betting, the Grizzlies are 6-4 favoring the UNDER so far this season while the Lakers are 7-5 favoring the OVER.
