Divisional Playoff Pick: Pats vs Broncos Odds

The last time these teams met, the Patriots stomped the mystique out of Tim Tebow, routing the Broncos in Week 15 at Denver.

Now after another Tebow miracle against the Steelers, the Broncos aim to avenge that loss in the other AFC divisional playoff game. Clearly online sportsbooks don't buy the hype, making the Patriots home chalk of 14 points.

The Broncos are 5-1 ATS in 6 trips to Foxboro since 1995 and the Patriots, despite their home dominance, are just 1-4 ATS in their past 5 playoff home games.

Denver has not packed much of a bite as a big underdog lately, going just 1-6 ATS when dogged by double digits, according to the Odds Shark NFL database. New England won and covered their final 7 games as a favorite and 6 of those games went OVER the betting total. (Check out the biggest Broncos point spread, available over at Bovada earlier.

NBA Odds: Bulls Battle Celtics

The Chicago Bulls will hit the floor in Boston on Friday night as they look for a win in an NBA betting matchup against the Celtics.

The Celtics have been tagged with an ATS loss in five of their last six contests against the Bulls, going 2-4 straight up in those games. The OVER/UNDER is 2-4 over the past six matchups.

NHL Lines: Rangers vs. Maple Leafs

It’s a busy Saturday in NHL betting action this weekend but the matchup between the New York Rangers and Toronto Maple Leafs at the Air Canada Centre will get a large chunk of the attention of hockey fans.

Toronto has been playing well and had won four straight heading into the weekend NHL betting schedule. The Rangers had been the league’s hottest team with nine wins in their past 10 games before taking on the Senators on Thursday.

NFL Betting: Weekend Opening Lines

For the first time since 2006 every home team won on Wild Card Weekend, eliminating all four Wild Card teams in one fell swoop. History tells us the home teams won’t sweep again in this week’s NFL betting action as no postseason since the playoffs expanded to 12 teams in 1990 has ever had the home teams go 8-0 in the first two weeks.

Grizzlies host Knicks on NBA odds

The New York Knicks will hit the hardwood in Memphis on Thursday night for an NBA betting showdown against the Grizzlies.

The Knicks have won two straight and six of their last 10 games against the Grizzlies, going 6-3-1 against the spread in those contests. The OVER/UNDER went 8-2 over that span..

Divisional Playoff Picks: OVER the total

The Odds Shark NFL scores prediction engine picked four OVERs during Wild Card weekend and three of them came around (only the Giants 24-2 humbling of the Falcons went UNDER).

In the divisional playoff round, it is predicting four more OVERs – perhaps a reflection of the Year of the Quarterback where it seems every QB went over 5,000 yards passing.

If it happens, it would be the second straight year that the divisional round saw four OVERs as the 2011 games saw at least 49 points scored in every game. So much for defense winning championships.

Heat vs. Clippers NBA Odds

The Miami Heat will continue their trip through California on Wednesday as they take on the Clippers in an NBA betting matchup.

The Heat have had problems with the Clippers in recent years, winning just four of the last 10 matchups between the teams. Miami went 6-4 ATS in those contests, with the OVER/UNDER at 8-2.

NBA Betting: Suns at Lakers

Kobe Bryant and his Los Angeles Lakers will be at home on Tuesday night for an NBA betting matchup against Steve Nash and the Suns.

The Lakers are 7-3 straight up in the past 10 meetings between the Western clubs, but just 4-6 against the spread in that span. The OVER/UNDER sits at 7-3 in the last 10 games between the teams.

Louisville, Providence: NCAAB Odds

Louisville will tip things off with the surprising Providence Friars when the two meet at the Dunkin' Donuts Center in college basketball betting action on Tuesday night.

The Cardinals (13-3 SU, 6-6-1 ATS) have dropped three of their last four, and two of those losses came on their home court. Louisville has also won seven of eight head-to-head and should get most of the attention on the college hoops betting lines at Bovada.

NHL Betting: Senators vs. Penguins

The Ottawa Senators will face off against the Pittsburgh Penguins in NHL betting action on Tuesday night this week.

Pittsburgh could be in danger of falling out of a playoff position for the first time this season if they don’t start to pile up some wins, losing four of their last five. The Senators have gone the other way as they now sit fifth in the Eastern Conference, and Ottawa has reeled off four victories in their last five games.
