Oregon vs Stanford: Betting Preview

Stanford Football Kevin Hogan

A clash atop the Pac-12 North sees the Oregon Ducks visiting the Stanford Cardinal Saturday with an interesting trend streaking between the two teams. In the past four meetings between Oregon and Stanford, the favorite is just 1-3 SU and ATS.

After alternating wins and losses through their first six games of the season, Oregon has gone on a three-game winning streak on the back of Vernon Adams Jr. The senior signal caller has thrown for 887 yards and 10 touchdowns in the past three games.

Ever since dropping their season opener to Northwestern, Stanford has been damn near unstoppable with a perfect 8-0 SU record with an average scoring margin of 21.5 points. The Cardinal are coming off their most well-rounded performance of the season with a 42-10 victory over Colorado

Notre Dame Flying High at Home

Notre Dame Football Quarterback

Notre Dame has been getting it done at home, with the Fighting Irish going 5-0 SU and ATS in their past five at Notre Dame Stadium. The Irish will look to continue their home dominance when they host the lowly Wake Forest Demon Deacons Saturday.

Notre Dame has quietly been climbing back into playoff contention with their one loss this season coming by just two points to the No.1 ranked Clemson Tigers. Quarterback DeShone Kizer has accounted for 13 touchdowns (nine passing, four rushing) in Notre Dame’s past four games since losing to Clemson.

Wake Forest is 1-5 SU in their past six with their lone win coming by a final score of 3-0 over Boston College. The Demon Deacons are 119th in the nation in points per game and have only scored 20-plus points twice this season.

Karl Favored to be First NBA Coach Fired

Sacramento Kings Head Coach George Karl

In professional sports, the adage “coaches are hired to be fired” rings true time and time again. Even though the new NBA season is in its infant stages, there’s no shortage of bench bosses that are already on the hot seat according to online sportsbook Bovada (this is your warning to look away, Kings fans).

Which NHL Coach Gets Fired Next?

Anaheim Ducks Bruce Boudreau

Hopes were high in Anaheim after the Ducks finished first last season in the Western Conference, but they have been abysmal so far this season. The Ducks are tied for last in the NHL and have scored nine fewer goals than any other team in the league.

It shouldn't come as a surprise that Ducks head coach Bruce Boudreau is currently a -175 favorite to be the next coach fired in the NHL according to Bovada.

FSU vs NC State Week 11 Odds and Pick

Matthew Dayes NC State

The past 10 meetings between the NC State Wolfpack and the Florida State Seminoles have seen the underdog post a stellar 9-1 ATS record. FSU, who have lost two of their past three, will host NC State Saturday.

NC State is 6-3 and looking for a signature win, which almost came two games ago when they gave No.1 Clemson a scare. Running back Matthew Dayes has been slowed down as of late with the junior rushing for less than 100 yards and no touchdowns in two of his past three games.

With a loss to Clemson last week, FSU is now out of the ACC title picture and will need to finish the season strong to get a meaningful bowl game this winter. Florida State has lost two of their past three with their offense scoring 16 or fewer points in the two losses.

Week 11 Odds: TCU vs Kansas

TCU Football

The favorite has not been faring well when the Kansas Jayhawks and TCU Horned Frogs meet as the faves have gone 0-4 ATS in their past four games, including one game in each of the past three seasons. The two teams will meet again this Saturday when TCU welcomes Kansas to Amon G. Carter Stadium.

Kansas is now winless this season following a 59-20 loss to Texas in their last game.  Kansas ranks in the bottom 10 in the nation in points per game (18.0 ppg) and points allowed (48.4 ppg).

Despite TCU outgaining Oklahoma State by 207 offensive yards and registering 20 more first downs, the Horned Frogs registered their first loss of the season last week thanks to four turnovers by quarterback Trevone Boykin. TCU is still in the top three in the nation in passing yards and points per game.

NBA Odds: Clippers vs Grizzlies

Blake Griffin Clippers

Two teams moving in the wrong direction will faceoff tonight in Los Angeles when the Clippers play host to the Memphis Grizzlies. Both teams have lost two in a row, with the Grizzlies losing three of their last four, while also going 1-4 ATS in their last five games. Tonight’s game will mark the end of a five game west coast road trip for the Grizzlies, which began last Monday.

The Clippers, meanwhile, have struggled against other Western Conference powerhouses, losing back-to-back games to the Rockets and Warriors after starting the season with four straight wins. Blake Griffin will be happy to see Memphis tonight, as he has a history of dominating them. In 16 career games vs the Grizzlies, Griffin has averaged 30 points and 10 rebounds.

Those siding with the Clippers in this one will be happy to hear that the Grizzlies are 0-5 SU and ATS in their last five games as underdogs. The Grizzlies have also struggled when playing on one day’s rest, going 0-7 ATS in their last seven games after a day off. Even more reason to like the Clips—They’re 6-1 SU and 5-2 ATS in their last seven games after consecutive losses.

The teams split their season series last season, each winning two games.

Warriors Look to Stay Perfect vs Pistons

Golden State Warriors Stephen Curry

The Golden State Warriors are the lone unbeaten team in the NBA two weeks into the new season and will be seeking to improve to 8-0 at home against the Detroit Pistons on Monday. The Pistons have been no slouch out of the gate either, starting 5-1 SU and ATS and are playing some great basketball in Stan Van Gundy’s revamped system.

Shark Bites
  • The Pistons are 0-8 SU in their last eight games against the Warriors.
  • The total has gone UNDER in 10 of the Warriors' last 14 games at home.
  • The Warriors are 4-1 ATS in their last five games after consecutive ATS losses.

Bettors of the Warriors will be pleased to be reminded that they’ve won eight consecutive meetings against the Pistons. These aren’t the same old Pistons, however. Detroit showed a lot of heart in topping the Trail Blazers on Sunday and are becoming one of the best bets in the league in the process. The Pistons trailed Portland by 13 points heading into the fourth quarter but then exploded in the final frame, outscoring the Blazers 41-11 thanks largely in part to Reggie Jackson’s 26.

Andre Drummond has been an absolute beast for the Pistons. The big man already has three 20-point, 20-rebound outings this season while averaging 20.3 points and 20.3 rebounds – the most boards by any player in the Association.

Ducks vs Coyotes: NHL Odds and Pick

Ryan Getzlaf Ducks NHL

In the NHL’s lone game tonight, the suddenly surging Anaheim Ducks will host their Pacific Division rival, the Arizona Coyotes. After a poor start to the season, the Ducks have now won four games in a row, with three of those wins coming at home.

The Coyotes are coming off of a disappointing 4-1 home loss to the Rangers on Saturday. Going back to last season, the Coyotes have struggled in games after losses, going 5-14 in their last 19 games after a loss. To make matter worst for the Coyotes, they’ve gone 6-14 in their last 20 road games.

Anaheim has had Arizona’s number over their last 10 meetings, going 7-1-2 during that span.
