NFL Props: Eagles Keep Struggling

Without question, the biggest disappointment of the 2011 NFL season has been the Philadelphia Eagles. Thought to be a Super Bowl favorite in the preseason, the Eagles are 3-6 so far and if they miss the playoffs, someone will have to be held accountable.

Jordan Jefferson took over as starting quarterback last week, passing for 168 yards and a touchdown in LSU’s tune-up game against Western Kentucky.

The Big Ten title will come into focus today as Penn State battles Ohio State as the Nittany Lion faithful continue to be tested by scandal this week.

The point spread has held steady most of the week as the host Buckeyes are favored by 6.5 points. The total was set low at 37.5.

Backers of the Buckeyes have seen them go 6-4 and 5-5 ATS so far this season, while the Nittany Lions are at 8-2 and 2-7-1 ATS. In totals betting, the Nittany Lions are 1-7-1, while the Buckeyes are 5-5.

The joyful overdose of MMA action and betting continues Saturday as UFC 139 odds begin hitting the sportsbook menus.
