EEUU Y Ecuador Abren Los Cuartos

Croats and Czechs Play Third Ever Match

Despite their close proximity, Czech Republic and Croatia have only played two matches against each other – ever. Croatia won both those meetings and will be the favorites to do the same in their Friday matchup against the Czechs.

Will History Repeat Itself in Game 6?

Stephen Curry LeBron James

No team has ever come back from a 3-1 hole to win the NBA Finals, and only two of 32 teams in that position have managed to take the series to seven games. The last time that happened was in 1966. The Cleveland Cavaliers will attempt to make history tonight when Game 6 gets underway in Ohio on Thursday.

Shark Bites
  • The total has gone UNDER in six of the Warriors' last seven games with a closing total of 207.5 or less.
  • The Cavaliers are 3-1 SU and ATS in their last four games with two days off between games.
  • The favored team is 7-3 SU in its last 10 games in this matchup.

Cleveland’s dynamic duo of LeBron James and Kyrie Irving combined for 82 points in the Cavs’ 112-97 victory in Game 5, denying the Golden State Warriors a chance to repeat on their home court. Kevin Love returned to the starting lineup in that contest but managed only two points and three rebounds.

The biggest difference for Golden State in that game was the absence of Draymond Green. Green missed Game 5 due to a suspension for hitting James below-the-belt in Game 4. If the power forward receives another flagrant one, he’ll miss a potential Game 7.

If you’ll remember back to last year, the Warriors were in the exact same position. Up 3-2 in the series, they closed out the Finals in front of Cleveland’s home crowd. Earlier in the season, Curry stated he hoped the locker rooms “still smelled of champagne.”

The Cavs, who opened as 2-point favorites at most shops, have been producing as home faves as of late. In their last eight when tabbed as home chalk, the wine and gold are 7-1 ATS.

Breaking Down The Odds For Game 6

It’s been a strong NBA Finals so far in terms of my analysis of the line though I must admit the number for Game 6 has my wheels turning a little.

Kauffman Looks to Claim Next Victim

Detroit heads into the hostile environment of Kauffman Stadium tonight to open up a series with division rivals Kansas City. Last years champs have a 22-7 record at home in 2016 and will look to take over sole possession of first place in the AL Central tonight.

The total has gone UNDER in 17 of the Royals' last 21 games with Danny Duffy as the starting pitcher.
The visiting team is 2-6 in its last eight games in this matchup.
The Tigers are 0-3 in their last 3 games on Thursday, while the Royals are 7-3 in their last 10 games on Thursday.

Justin Verlander, who (excuse the cliché) has learned how to pitch this year, will take the rubber for the Tigers and will look to continue his hot month of June where he owns a 1.98 ERA in 13.2 innings. Verlander doesn’t throw the gas he used to you but has improved his control and will carry a 3.77 ERA into this matchup.

The Royals will send Danny Duffy and his 2.94 ERA to the mound for his seventh start of the season. Duffy hasn’t been great pitching at Kauffman this year, in three starts he owns a 4.76 ERA with batters hitting .258 off him. In the last three years, Duffy is 3-1 vs the Tigers in seven starts with an ERA of 1.59.

The money line in this one is fairly close, but with the Royals laying plus money at home, they may be worth a look.

Yanks Look to Prey on Lowly Twins

The Bronx bombers haven’t really been bombing this year, but they have been getting some decent pitching from their starters. A revitalized CC Sabathia (4-4, 2.28 ERA) will toe the rubber tonight as the Yanks begin a series with the lowly Twins who will counter with an even lowlier Kyle Gibson (0-4, 6.49 ERA).

The Yankees are 5-0 in their last five games against the Twins.

The Twins are 1-7  in their last eight games with a closing total of 8.5 or less.
The Yankees are 6-1 in their last 7 games as road favorites, while the Twins are 4-13 in their last 17 games as home underdogs.

After getting cleaned up, CC has looked like the ace of old. He will carry a 2.25 away ERA into this matchup against the twins, who have not faired well as underdogs this year (14-36). NYY will look to end their current four-game losing streak and climb out of the basement of the AL East in a series against one of the worst teams in Major League Baseball.

Gibson, who is making only his second start since a stint on the DL for a sprained shoulder, has yet to win a game this year and carries a brutal ERA into this matchup. He is 1-3 in his career vs the Yankees with a 10.72 ERA, so not terrific.

The signs are pretty clear in this one, follow them and be rewarded.

Blue Jays Have Been Destroying Phillies

After two-straight blowout wins over the Phillies, the Blue Jays will attempt to lay the smack down on them again tonight in Philadelphia. The Jays have racked up 18 runs in the two games while only allowing five.

Toronto will send J.A. Happ to the mound who will try to rebound from his last two starts where he’s allowed a combined 10 runs. Happ’s done his best work on the road so far this season, limiting hitters to a .207 batting average. In three career starts against the Phillies, he has a 3-0 record with a 1.56 ERA.

Philadelphia will counter with promising youngster Aaron Nola who’s coming off his worst start of the season against the Nationals where he allowed four runs in just 3.2 innings of work. Philly is 7-3 in Nola’s 10 starts this season, but the Jays have had their number over the years, going 12-3 in the last 15 games between the clubs.

Considering the way the Jays have been running over the Phillies lately, bettors might want to consider a runline wager for tonight’s game. The Jays are among the teams with the most runline wins so far this season, while the Phillies are near the top of the league in losses of two runs or more.

U.S. Open: Sleeper Picks

Justin Thomas PGA

Betting on golf can be an exhilarating endeavor, but it can also be an extremely frustrating one. Don’t believe me? Go ahead and ask anyone who backed Dustin Johnson in the 2015 U.S. Open how they felt after he imploded on the 18th green.

That’s why it’s important to pick your spots when it comes to betting long shot value. With this year’s edition of the U.S. Open rapidly coming up, I’ve set my sights on three specific golfers who could create big payouts if they can take home the hardware.

Thunderstorms Could Impact U.S. Open

Rory McIlroy PGA

Players at the U.S. Open will be forced to contend with the frightening Oakmont Country Club, but it looks like Mother Nature is going to play a hand in the tournament as well.

According to AccuWeather, the worst conditions of the event will unfold on Thursday. The forecast is calling for a line of severe thunderstorms to roll through during the afternoon hours of the first round. The opening group tees off at 6:45 a.m. ET.
