NFL Odds: Week 7 Betting Trends

Last February, quarterbacks Peyton Manning and Andrew Luck teamed up on the AFC's Pro Bowl team.

But Sunday night's nationally televised game will receive a lot more hype and is the biggest game on the NFL card this weekend, as it marks the first time Manning returns to Indianapolis since being released by the Colts and signed by Denver in March 2012.

Both offensive leaders have avoided talking about one another, but it's unavoidable - the top billing for this weekend is Manning vs. Luck.


NFL Week 7: Potential Upsets

For the second week in a row underdogs outdid the favorites in the NFL, going 8-7, with three of the pups winning outright. The favorites are 45-44-3 after the first six weeks of the season while 29 of the underdogs have won outright.

Four of this week's underdogs have not only been decent at the window when catching points, but they've also won a fair share of games outright. Arizona, Buffalo, Cincinnati and Indianapolis are a combined 12-4-1 ATS as an underdog, with nine of those covers being outright wins.


NFL Odds: Bet against the Texans

Through six weeks the best wagers in the NFL have been betting against the Houston Texans and betting the OVER in Minnesota Vikings and Denver Broncos games.


Seahawks Cardinals Week 7 Wagering

The NFL betting menu features a clash between Arizona and Seattle on Thursday, with the host Cardinals trying to win both for fans supporting them and bettors backing them.

The Cardinals currently sports a record of 3-3, and have posted a corresponding betting slate of 4-2 ATS. The Seahawks are 5-1 and 4-2 ATS. Betting totals have seen the Cardinals post a 2-4 over under record this season, while the Seahawks have gone 3-3 against the number.

College Football Betting: Week 8

The third-ranked Clemson Tigers clawed their way back from a fourth-quarter deficit last week and scored 14 unanswered points to defeat Boston College.

Now they'll hope to avoid getting beat by No. 5 Florida State in the Atlantic Coast Conference's first top-five showdown in eight years.It's the league's first matchup of top-five teams since then-No. 5 Miami defeated then-No. 3 Virginia Tech 27-7 in 2005.

ALCS Game 4: Red Sox lead Tigers

The Boston Red Sox will be looking to take a commanding 3-1 series lead on Wednesday night as they play Game 4 of the best-of-seven ALCS against the Tigers at Comerica Park.

Boston went up 2-1 in the series on Tuesday with a 1-0 road win behind the pitching of John Lackey. Mike Napoli homered for the Red Sox in that victory to drive in the game's only run in the seventh inning. Koji Uehara earned the save.

Cardinals can close out the NLCS

The St. Louis Cardinals are just one win away from securing a berth in the World Series as they take on the Los Angeles Dodgers in Game 5 of the NLCS on Wednesday afternoon.

St. Louis grabbed a 3-1 lead in the series on Tuesday night with a 4-2 victory at Dodger Stadium. Matt Holliday and Shane Robinson both homered for the Cardinals in that victory, with Yasiel Puig driving in a run for the Dodgers.

Joe Kelly, with a record of 10-5 on the season, gets the ball for the Cardinals, while the Dodgers trot Zack Greinke to the mound in this one. He is 15-5 so far in 2013.

Capitals get visit from the Rangers

The New York Rangers have managed to pick up the victory in seven of their last 10 games against the Washington Capitals as those teams prepare to meet on Wednesday night.

The Rangers also went 2-1 against the Capitals last season, with the OVER/UNDER going 0-1-2 for totals bettors in those contests. The OVER has only managed to pay out three times in the last 10 Rangers vs. Capitals NHL betting matchups.

World Cup odds in betting focus

The final huge blast of World Cup qualifying goes Tuesday and Wednesday with dozens of games affecting the fates of teams in Europe, South America and Africa.

World Cup odds run the full gamut this week between tight lines and one-sided action where Ukraine faces Europe’s worst side, San Marino.

The week is critical for Spain, England, France, Russia and Portugal, who are among the nations whose 2014 Brazil fates have not been decided as of yet.

Europe will send 13 teams to the World Cup, with nine group winners and then an eight-team playoff.
