UNC Struggling To Cover On Homecourt

The No.1 ranked North Carolina Tar Heels continue their season when they host the Fairfield Stags Sunday, but UNC has struggled to cover frequently large spreads at home. The Tar Heels are just 4-8-1 ATS in their past 13 games at the Dean Smith Center.

Any concerns that UNC may struggle without Marcus Paige in the lineup was put to rest when they dismantled Temple 91-67 to start their season Friday. Four different players put up double-digit points against Temple, highlighted by Kennedy Meeks who went 10-of-14 and recorded a double-double.

Fairfield’s first game could not have been more different as the team did not have any player score more than eight points in a 70-57 point loss to Yale.

Patriots Will Try to Stay Perfect vs Giants

New England Patriots Football

Can anyone stop the New England Patriots this season? Tom Brady and company are one of the three undefeated teams in the NFL at 8-0 and don’t appear to be slowing down anytime soon. The New York Giants will attempt to give the Pats their first loss of the season on Sunday.

The Giants opened as 7.5-point home underdogs for the tilt which is extremely rare. The G-men have only been bigger home underdogs three times since 1998 that saw them go 0-3 SU and 2-1 ATS during those games.

OVER backers have been laughing all the way to the bank when the Giants have been tabbed as home dogs lately. The OVER has gone 8-2 in New York’s previous 10 games as home pups.

Broncos are a Great Bet to Bounce Back

Peyton Manning Denver Broncos

The Denver Broncos were flying high prior to Week 9’s contest against the Indianapolis Colts but were brought back down to life at the hands of Andrew Luck and company, suffering their first loss of the season in the process. The Broncos, who play host to Kansas City in Week 10, have historically been great at preventing back to back losses as favorites. Denver is 12-0 SU and 10-2 ATS in their last 12 games after losing as favorites.

The Chiefs have gotten back on their feet as of late in the wake of an underwhelming start to the season. K.C. has topped Pittsburgh and Detroit while covering the spread in both contests to improve to 3-5 SU in the 2015 campaign. The Chiefs had previously dropped five games in a row ATS before stringing together the aforementioned wins.

Vikings a Great ATS, UNDER Bet

Vikings Peterson

The Minnesota Vikings and Oakland Raiders have endured their fair share of low points over the course of the last decade, but they’re both trending in the right direction in 2015. Both squads boast a core of talented, young offenses led by a pair of talented quarterbacks in Derrick Carr and Teddy Bridgewater who both look like the real deal.

The Vikes (6-2 SU) are red-hot for their bettors. Minny is 7-1 ATS on the season and have covered in seven straight games after Week 1. Oakland has also been profitable, going 4-4 SU and 5-3 ATS so far this year.

The UNDER has also been a sizzling play during Vikings contests. Seven out of Minnesota’s eight games have gone below the closing total.

Siena vs Wisconsin: Betting Odds and Pick

Obviously we all expected Wisconsin to lose a few games this season, but an opening night loss to the Western Illinois Leathernecks has the Badgers looking to avoid their first 0-2 start to a season in 20 years. Wisconsin has struggled to cover at home in recent memory too, with the Badgers just 6-11-1 ATS in their past 18 home games.

There was nothing pretty about Wisconsin’s first game, a contest that saw them shoot just 35.5 percent while allowing Western Illinois to shoot 54 percent. The Badgers also allowed WIU to go 7-for-9 from beyond the arc.

Siena opened their season with a 92-74 point loss to Duke, but there was some upside for the Saints. Four of Sienna’s starting five scored double-digits in points while shooting for a combined 57.5 percent from the floor against Duke.

Thunder Trending Up Against Celtics

The Oklahoma City Thunder has beaten the Boston Celtics in each of the past five meetings between the two teams with OKC posting a 4-1 ATS record in that span. The two teams meet once more Sunday when the Thunder host the Celtics.

With Kevin Durant down, Russell Westbrook has taken over for the Thunder. Westbrook has back-to-back triple-doubles in the past two games, while posting a double-double in his past six. During the Thunder’s current three-game winning streak, they are outscoring opponents by an average of 20.7 points per game.

The Celtics started the season poorly, but have since gone 3-1 SU in their past four. Injuries in the backcourt are hindering the Celtics as the team has gone five games without both Marcus Smart and Avery Bradley in the lineup.

Blackhawks Dominate Flames At Home

Chicago Blackhawks Jonathan Toews Brent Seabrook

The Chicago Blackhawks have had the Calgary Flames number especially when it comes to playing in the Windy City with the ‘Hawks going 14-2 in their past 16 games hosting the Flames. The two teams will meet at the United Center once again Sunday night.

The Blackhawks have struggled with consistency this season, with the team going 3-4-1 in their last eight games while alternating wins and losses in their past four. Despite the teams’ inconsistencies, Patrick Kane continues to be one of the best offensive players in the NHL with a point in 12 consecutive games, which includes a six-game scoring streak.

The Flames will be looking to record back-to-back wins for just the second time this season after a 3-2 overtime win over the Washington Capitals Friday. The young guns are stepping up for the Flames with Sam Bennett recording 10 points in the last eight games and Sean Monahan netting four goals in the past four games.

SNF Betting: Cardinals at Seahawks

Arizona Cardinals NFL Betting

When the Seattle Seahawks won the Super Bowl in 2013, many experts around the NFL figured they would sit atop of the NFC West standings for the foreseeable future. The Arizona Cardinals have had something to say about that, however, and are the other birds perched above the division at 6-2 with nine weeks elapsed in the NFL season. The Cards and Seahawks square off once again Sunday in Seattle, in what’s looking like one of the better games on the Week 10 NFL slate.

Sportsbooks opened Seattle as 3-point favorites for the clash, which shouldn’t inspire much confidence in Seahawks bettors. Pete Carrol’s club is just 2-6 ATS in its last eight games as chalk.

Arizona is coming off its bye week and has historically been dealing with a bit of rust when in that position. The Cards are 1-4 SU and ATS in their last five games after a bye.

UNDER Sizzling in Eagles Contests

Eagles receiver Matthews

When the Miami Dolphins and Philadelphia Eagles get together, covers have been hard to come by for the Phins. Miami has gone 0-6 ATS in their last six meetings against Philly but will try and reverse that trend Sunday when the two clubs renew acquaintances in Pennsylvania.

Philadelphia has rebounded from a very ugly start to the season and appears to be hitting its stride under head coach Chip Kelly. The Eagles emerged triumphant over hated division rival Dallas in the form of a 33-27 overtime victory during Sunday night Football in Week 9.

The UNDER has been a solid bet during Eagles games, paying out in six out of the team’s opening eight contests.
